Default Has this happened to anyone else?

I was going to pass a car last night I dropped it down to 5th gear and was going about 80MPH and my traction control kicked in. It was a little bumpy in the area that I was passing but it freaked me out because it felt like I hit the rev limiter (I didn't). I've had tration control come on at other times but I thought this was a little weird and dangerous.

Means you popped the clutch and it broke loose for a minute...

Bring the revs up, and rev match... otherwise you're going to have one worn out clutch.

What?????

I had already shifted and was in fifth gear. I'm assuming thtraction control kicked in because my rear end got light from going over a bump.

The Z would have to be pretty damn fast to break loose at 80MPH because of power.

bump+80mph+5th gear=traction problem

havent had it happen to me, but I havent ever been in that situation, but I would expect it.

Never had it happen to me, but I would think it would have to be a pretty big bump to make the tire go airborne for a split second and make the car "think" it was spinning. I wish this car had the power to break traction in 5th.

I was doing around 60mph through an intersection, and across a short rolling hill, and lost traction for a moment, where the traction control light did come on. I had the gas pedel all the way down but don't remember feeling much other than a little floating feeling for the moment.

I have set the TCS off going 80mph and I hit a patch of gravel / sand. I have also set it off shifting into 5th off long on ramps with slight curves.

I'm going to turn it off everytime I start the car until the next snow fall. It's handy in the winter but that's about it.
