Ah...it makes sense now.

Thread title is kinda misleading. This wasn't a case of 350z hate, just some circumstantial street altercation.

Guy shouldn't have ran though, unless he felt threatened.

Not to make it political or anything, are you sure he was illegal?

I would think he'd avoid drawing attention to himself if he was.

ya, this is america, with the largest inmate population in the world, more than 2 1/2 million, without having the biggest population. I am not surprised that pushing is an arrestable offence.

...Good luck getting jobs in the future with that on your record.

Im surprised alot of you think there is more to this story, no I didnt strike him in any way, no I did not do anything to cause the situation. Yes he is most likely an illegal, they have id's and commit crimes all the time. I don't know what dream world some of you are living in.

Most likely illegal is not illegal.

I'm sorry if you find the criminal justice system uninviting, but at the end of the day, whether your in Phoenix or Juneau, illegals don't have more rights than citizens.

But whether you assaulted him or not, it doens't matter if he's an illegal or not, they charged you for what you did, not who you did it to. bummer, hope things get better.

Well there obviously is more to the story, because now we know that he "ran out into the street, pulling his daughter" which we didn't know before, and that "all the cars had to stop short". You decided not to wait for the traffic to get going again and "got into the middle lane" (which is an actual lane or the center divider lane?), to pass the stopped traffic. This is when he threw something at you, probably to get you to stop. As I see it, there is more to this story in the real world.

good thing he wasn't a plumber, those pipe wrenches can do some real damage.

Doesn't everyone carry a hammer, wrench and pry bar with them when you take a walk?

Not a dream world, just wondering why YOU are being charged with assault.

You haven't actually said what happened once you had the wrench thrown at you - except for describing that he was caught in the end at a parking lot or something.

So either:

A) you chased him down, twatted him and then held him (and fair play to you LOL)
B) you chased him down, held him firmly but legally for the Police and then they/he overreacted
C) you chased him, just stood there staring/following him around until they arrived and then he claimed something that didn't happen
D) you ran him down with your car, bouncing him off the fenders and then sat on him till they arrived

I'm just curious..

Just read your edit - so ok, you shoved him. Sounds like you got the rough end of the stick there... you should be able to prove that you were trying to restrain him and arguably he had "started" it so it wasn't like you were just starting on him for no reason.

Course - in this jacked up legal system - he'll probably end up being given the car...

Hurray for cops!

EDIT: Ok all I did was shove him when he tried to leave the scene. THATS IT, nothing missing there, if I had known pushing was assault as well I would have beat the living **** out of him.

Nice pics that I cant see -.-

Yep,you could have the intent of fighting him(like you're about to box him) and be charged with assault before you touch him.
