The cop was probably Hispanic descent.

If you did nothing to provoke the wrench throwing. You should have cut his ***** off and fed them to his mother, in a taco shell.

according to the pig (aka) cop I talked to a while ago, even verbally threatening an individual is assault, once you actually touch that person it now becomes assault and battery.

in my opinion you should have just backed up and ran his *** over.

cruel....... maybe......ohhwell

yes... assault by threat is an offense in many states(Texas for example), so you don't even have to touch some one to be charged with assault. Pushing someone is definitely a clear cut case. Sorry man.

It's only a matter of time before they start classifying illegal immigrant beatings as a hate crime.

This is some bogus crap that is being pulled here... in DC, I had my sun roof of one of my cars broken in, and luckily someone called it in before I got there. I asked the cops "if I had seen the guy doing it, what could I have done?" and he says that under law I could have used any force necessary to stop and restrain the individual... basically I could have beat the crap out of him.

For you not being able to apprehend an individual who committed a crime is retarded. What about "citizen's arrest"? If you can't prevent someone from escaping, how will justice be served? Regardless of the man's heritage or legality, he committed a crime and has a right to a fair trial... how will he stand a fair trial if he damn well ESCAPES!?!!

Nice interpretation of the story, without knowing all the facts. Let me guess, you truly are illegal.

Arizona probalby has similar laws to new jersey, basically when someone does something to your property you are not allowed to touch them, no matter what. Example, if your house is being robbed, you are not allowed to touch the person robbing your house. Times have changed, I'm going for my law degree, and so far all of my classes have shown me one thing, America's law system is stupid. We can sue over some dumb ****, it's crazy, and kind of embarassing that criminals can sue when they're breaking the law, and sometimes make more money when they sue.

If you get out of your car at a light to yell at someone, that's assault. Giving someone the idea that you are gonna cause harm to them is assault, touching them is battery.
