Blame your state not America. In Texas if someone brakes into your house you can shoot them no ?;s asked. Same deal if they break into your car. Think Louisiana has this same law.

It's possible assuming he IS an illegal that this constitutes what is known as an "Immigration Felony". I'm from the UK, and am here legally on a work visa - working towards Green Card status.

However, until you become a citizen, there are many crimes that would warrant misdemeanor status in a normal person, that count as an "Immigration Felony" for anyone on a Green Card or below (including illegals I think).

Basically this gives the US the opportunity to deport someone for what could be a minor crime (few days in jail and a fine).

It all depends though if he is checked for his status, which may happen if he's being charged on something - so I would push all you can to check that.

As many other posters have said, it's a shame you are not in Texas the "Castle" law is freaking awesome, it is bad down here from time to time, but at least you know you can pop someone that is threatening your life without fear of the liberals biting your ***.

Don't forget to tell everyone that your country's social services are in shambles because illegals keep using them up but not paying INTO it (i.e. not paying taxes). Note, I am talking against illegals, regardless of ethnicity... I am not singling out any one race/ethnicity.

And the OP has still yet to explain how he knew the person who threw the wrench was illegal.

 

No one is saying that hispanics are the only illegals - there are procedures in order for an immigrant to be a citizen in this country the LEGAL way, and illegals take the easy way out, break the laws, and come in anyway. Unfortunately, there are certain useless organizations in this country (ACLU, cough cough), that allow this to happen. This is a disgrace to the immigrants that actually come into this country the right way. It also sets a terrible precedent with the policy we have today that basically says, "go ahead and enter this country illegally, get public assistance, and take jobs away from the legal citizens of this country". It gives no incentive for immigants to immigrate the lawful way.

WTF is up with this "ur lawn is nice cuz we probably cut it., etc" ********. I cut my own lawn thank you. Plus, are you saying that we == illegal immigrants? That is my interpretation of your statement. So, if the above is true, you are an illegal immigrant. If so, I advise you to GTFU, and enter the country the legal way. Plus, if I was in the position to hire someone to perform odd jobs like you mentioned, I wouldn't stoop myself to that level and hire an illegal immigrant, even if it saved me money, since I'd be screwing the legal workers out there.

Im not illegal im a US citizen. Born and raised in California. But it irritates me how people can go around saying **** illegals gtfo etc. Most of the people saying that have never left their little safety bubble. I say u travel the world read about BS going on in other countries i.e. darfur, africa, murders in mexico, Chavez in Venezuela, Communist Korea and their BS. You'll apreciate what u have. And ull start to understand why these people risk their lives to get here illegally. Yeah theres bad ones out there but think about it if a different illegal did some thing bad everyday thats 365 a year. But think about the thousands more that go to school work below minimum wage and mind their own buisness here. Just open urself a little first before people go condeming illegals as a burden.

 

OP doesn't want to say what happened because he figures we're all on his side about it, and in retrospect realizes that he may have done something wrong.
