Man, I wish my 'rents bought me the Z.

Threads like this kind of irritate me. I'm 21, am about to graduate college, and have worked a steady banking career throughout my schooling.
I don't quite see what gives people the right to question how i afford my Z. I'm not quite young anymore, however i feel its unfair to be judge mental. I bought my 03' track for 20k, the same price as any new camry or accord. Just because i have worked hard, saved my money, pay my own rent, and am somewhat young, i'm labeled as a spoiled rich kid. Screw that.

understandable when you say its not our place to judge but in some cases you just sometimes wonder. Like the friend I am talking about, everyone knows that he has a alcohol problem but they never learn..
but eh

im 19 and work my *** off (realtor full time, and tiles salesman full time in the winter) layed 12k cash down and took a loan out for the rest...and honestly who gives a *** how people got their car anyway? how does it effect you?
It seems to me a lot of people missed what the OP was getting at, though that doesn't change that this might be "yet another rich kids thread." It's my first.
I, for one, don't plan on giving my kids $28k+ cars. I have yet to meet a person humble enough by nature to resist being spoiled when treated with such a toy. Getting a 4-cyl Camry from my parents has put me in a position where I'll have to pay for my next (read: fun) car, which will likely be a used Z. I'm hoping to get $3-4k out of my Camry, put down a $k or two in cash, and then finance the rest. Won't be cheap or short, but I'll sure appreciate my car a lot more than I do my free Camry.
And let's not even get into how quickly I'd have wrapped a Z around a pole if I had gotten one instead of a 133hp family sedan. At least I know enough not to get too creative with this boat. How much driving experience does an average 16-yo have? How much has an average 16-yo had to work for his/her standard of living (an efficient way to learn to value things)? I'm sure there are some who could outdrive me in their sleep, but those are rare exceptions to the rule...

Flame on.
Flame on.
wow, you must fell like a pimp!
My first car was a 1989 dodge daytona that we called the bondo bandit. I paid 2k with my own money and if my parents would have payed any portion of my first car I would have happily taken it.
In my own opinion your child doesnt have to pay for their first car to appreciate it more. Thats where I feel you teach them values before they even think of a car.
If my daughter who only happens to be a year old wants a 26k vehicle when shes able to drive I just might get it for her. If she doesnt appreciate it I can easily take it away.
I grew up not having much at all, I personnally dont want my kids growing up the same way as I did.
A Z is a 26K car, 32K fully loaded off the lot, really not that expensive of a car.
Its jealousy my man, dont be jealous.
Alright Im done rambling

This is my 4th car. I'm 21.. I dealt with enough crap with those cars that I felt I wanted to treat myself to something nice. O well.... If I need help my parents will help me. But I'm on my own here.. O well. Everyone is jelous for a certain reason. You can't satisfy everyone. Altho rich kids that are 17 with 30k cars **** me off. Like this kid I know thats 18. And his parents bought him a brand new hummer. It's like common now....
the mods should start a sticky of all of the bullsh*t threads you premier members come up with:
"this thread is to ***** about how teenagers get the same car I have, 15 years earlier then when i got it"
"which color Z is the best?"
"what age are YOU, z owner?"
give it UP my god, you all b*tch about younglings having the same car you do so much that your bullsh*t is giving me a rash. make a post with a serious topic and lay off the PMS-stick about how people young and old can afford the same midlevel sports car you own.
I'm sure your boss would appreciate it too, considering your probably not being that productive sitting at work b*tching about young Z owners.
