Hey, I just used it for reference with all things being equal except the model year and engine - Same driver (me), same tire size, same tire make, model, and air pressure, alignment specs (camber), brand new tire versus broke-in tire, etc.

Otherwise, agreed, chriping doesn't say much. Lol at the mtb example...

I like the feel and engagement on the 07 better than on the 06's. But still nowhere near as powerful and smooth as the OEM tranny/clutch in the 97 M3 I used to have (The company that Builds BMW trannys bought borg-warner in 72, I think.. BMW doesn't even try to build their own like Nissan does.

Also, all three z's I've had (M0 06 and my 07 and my wife's 06) ALL have that crappy bearing noise with the clutch released in neutral.

Even my 01 Xterra has that bearing noise in the tranny in neutral. Nissan needs to learn how to build manual trannys!

I wasnt complaining about the noises the reason it makes the noise is because of the lightened flywheel. Its like if you put a lightened flywheel on a MK4 GTI or on a subaru and many other cars will produce the same noise. you think the bearing noise is bad on a Z you should listen to an 03evo

I never head an explanation of that noise... thanks. I did not realize the z had a fairly light flywheel. The dual-mass flywheel on the M3 was around 20lbs!

ok after reading this soap opra (very long one at that) im only going to comment because i know solo and know gabe.

Solo, this forum was a waste of your time (unless you were bored). there is no reason to be playing this pissing contest when no one can see you pissing. I hope everyone on this forum knows to take peoples opinions with a grane of salt. So if you know your right on a topic, who cares if the other is wrong or vice versa. It's pointless to argue on a forum cause in the end the other guy will think he is right and you will think you are right and we end up getting no where, except hating each other. it appears after reading a few(alot) comments that alot of people dont care for you on this site. Of coure this isnt a popularity contest but man cant we just agree to disagree and call it before everyone starts hating?

as for the topic, we all know the HR is a better motor than the rev-up or the 287, i never read anything different from anyone. but i will say i think it's pointless to trade in an 06 for an 07-08 because the amount you will loss on trade in (around 5k give or take a grand or two, plus what i have already paid on the car) to me, i would go to F/I. So it doesnt make since in my mind to upgrade from an 06 to an 07 when i gain around .5 in the 1/4 when i can use that money to go f/i and gain so much more. i love my Z. i love where i'm at in my mods and am just going to save for F/I. But i again DO AGREE THE HR IS BETTER THAN THE DE's. But for me not worth 5k "mo betta". That is my humble opinion!

p.s i cant spell worth anything so don't get on me solo, i know where you meet every 2nd tuesday of the month =)
