SO are we lmao solo
Until we have vids...forget the 1/4 i rather see some good ol street racing or some lap times around a course. I have seen 911 turbos run 13.9s because of a horrid driver we should really have some nice vids. I agree with the other poster here saying we should get some vids. Im telling you get one with a bolt on revup with a tune. Guarentee you uptop it wont be the margin of performance you think. Now with a 287 with every bolt on and a tune...get one from a dig...guarentee you with a stock HR whos whole shot will be very nice. I have seen these first had ..Guess its up to the vids to do the talking. Goodluck.
Now if someone here bought a 380RS or even mayeby the 3.7( but then the weight of the G comes into play)then i would say wholy molly that engines powerband is way above the 3.5 and literally there is no chance ..but the 3.5HR....besides the tq numbers peak numbers are atainable without cams on a revup one of our huge posters here has a revup with 290rwhp without cams . lol Its just not many people have built revups. And now everyone is going FI preety much , well at least from what i seen. from the few who actaully go the NA route.
Look at Z1s car his car will murder a HR granted his build is more then most but what you need to address is that you cant really expect a stock HR to beat all modified NA Zs.. I know the HR is a amazing motor but we dont need crazy compression and cams to beat a HR. But granted as more mods come out this may change.

HR has a better power band in all areas, better peak hp, and 500rpm more.

hahaha whatever 3 holes, 5 holes how ever you can fix your retard mod. I got 1 for you, why do you get 2 real long dryer hoses and connect them to your TB's. Then have them run along the sides of your car, into the cabin, and connect it to you AC vent and run it on high...BOOOM! cold air intake!

And also the 03s aren't the lightest. My 06 Touring weighs 3250lbs. Nearly the same as an 03 Touring. An 07 weighs the same, too. I don't know why Nissan states otherwise. I, as well as a number of 07 owners (Gooey, being one of them), have weighed our cars - we all got the same weights.

If you notice, even though the new EX35 has the VQ35HR, it only has 296HP - and not 306. Same engine, but with slight variables that create a lower rating.

I actually mounted 2 live skunks in my intakes. When I hit full throttle an electric shock dispenses high octane skunk fart into my engine. It's worth 22 butt dyno hp.....

Nissan's official press site
You're getting the Z confused with the G35 6MT:

those stats are issues underneath the previous SAE standards though if ya take a look back in that year june.
The revup's 300hp im preety certain where not rated underneath the new ratings. there is clearly more of a pronounced difference for it just to be 6rwhp difference and a tq increase. I dont have the index with me right now at work , but i know for certin that the 300hp revup and the 287de do not output those crank numbers in todays SAE. Nothing wrong with them , but its that technically they shouldnt . lol

Comparing those numbers its easy to understand that underneath the new SAE standards the revup cannot be a 300hp engine at the crank.
But back then underneath the old standards it def was. Just how back then the HR wouldve probably been a 320hp motor or so lmao.
