Are AUTO Z's considered "Fast"?

well i think the difference in power from an auto to a manual is not that much, i have an 04 base 6mt and my friend has an 07 5at g35 and we are neck and neck from a full stop the whole time, usually its the person with the better launch that wins, but the main difference to me is that the manual is a lot more fun to drive, you will never get over the thrill of down shifting from like 5000 rpm to like 6500then, also its just straight up boring driving an auto i don't think ill drive one untill like im 60 or something

I completely agree, manual is just more fun. Being able to skip gears, perform a proper launch and downshift into the gear you need quickly is one reason to choose manual over AT.

I have beaten many manual Z's from rolls and digs. Of course you lose some as well, that's just what happens when you track your car.
The rumor of autos being slower is becoming a rather ridiculous myth now-a-days (or should I say taken out of context.) Newer auto's in the sports cars of current are much faster and stronger than before.
Many people are shocked to find out my car was auto at the track.

I bought an AT this time as I drove both and decided what was best for me and my mission (at least 90 percent in traffic driving on city streets).
I had it about a week, and one day my wife had to go out and I asked her if she wanted to take the new car which she had not even looked at yet. She thought it would be fun and went out to some girly function or another, and when she came back in the house a couple hours later, she walked up to me with a wierd look on her face and says...."A FUKIN AUTOMATIC IN A SPORTS CAR???, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?"
