Default Foot Rest

Has anyone here had a problem with the aluminum footrest in the car being loose? Mine moves around a fair amount. If someone has had this problem and found a fix, or if anone knows how to adjust it that would be great. Tightening the screws visible in the face of the rest does not help. Thanks

Default fix

take off the 5 small screws holding the dead pedal aluminum cover. once this is off, you will see 2 large round plastic things with a screwdriver like groove. screw this tighter clockwise. give it a few cranks, it doesn't tighten down like a normal screw though, so after about 4 or 5 turns, stop and see if it's more stable. If it is, screw the aluminum cover back on. Mine tightened up nicely and it was easy.

Mine is fine, but my carpet has a bubble in it that really bugs me. You'd think I'd fix it or something, but it doesn't bug me *that* much.
