Not sure who the criticism is directed at, me or the OP...but as for me I completely agree the arguments! No word of mouth street race is going to prove anything, whether you are asking about why a street race amongst friends went the way it did or whether you are bragging! (not pointing fingers, purely hypothetical )

DYNO to prove the capabilities of the machine.
Trap times to prove the capabailities of the driver/drivers comfort w/ the machine.
End of Story.

As for me, I was just looking for RAW numbers and opinions as to whether people think its possible for early VQ's to have been put out of the factory differently with some being drastically different from the rest! Most dyno's that I have seen for '03's (using load base dyno's like dynojet and dynodynamics) have not put numbers anywhere close to 250whp stock! So I am just curious!

Oooops just realized there was a bunch of new posts while I was writing my last post! My bad!

Its good to see another dyno up here! the '04 (not sure what trim but it M/T) that dynoed right after me, pulled ~15whp less than mine and had a fair number of bolt-ons, not to mention alot of the numbers I was seeing that day were about what expected considering their mods...but my pulls were alot higher than what I expected being stock! hmmmm weird

BTW, Z1NONLY, nice baseline numbers for the 05!

Mustard, your dyno looks more like mine than on z1nonly

http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...0/IMG_0449.jpg for comparison

With Dyno Dynamics, don't they read low and then correct it so it would be like what it would be if it was on a dyno jet?

As far I know your assumption is correct. Actually I think the shop that did your dyno, actually put a thread up a while back explaining this,

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....+dyno+dynamics

So your Z is an 06...is it the HR and was it stock when you get these numbers (just curious cause it says MREV2 on the chart)?

I hate to admit it but I have one of those...will be pushing 500whp this Sunday on my stock motor. Those that know me from the drag section know that my motor is a freak and just keeps getting stronger and stronger.

With nismo exhaust is the redish pinkish, green is with mrev2, nismo, blue is with mrev2 and spacer and nismo. Baseline was 256, adding mrev2 258, adding spacer ontop is 263.9 I am a revup engine. Your dyno looks a lot like my baseline, more so compared to Z1NONLY dyno.

[QUOTE=gsazabi]Pop the hood and see if there's any Nismo stickers in the engine bay. Remember, 1 sticker = 10whp

lol I'm pretty sure this forum will have NO bearing on street racing at all. If people want to race on the street then theyre going to. By telling people not to talk about it on the forum doesnt really effect their decision.

That's what I think. His machine rips thru 1, 2, and 3 like a bat outta hell. I drove it back to back with mine, and if I remember correctly, it didn't really get up past 60mph in 2nd gear. I know mine gets up over 60mph in second gear for sure.

In all seriousness. .i know what he means. .i have an 03 performance. .and i beat a lot of cars out there that i should get shitted on by.i even notice in 4th 5th and 6th gears my Z still pulls hard in all. .even in 6th. .i think im going to name em HERBY!!. . but regardless of the power does anyone have problems with after market parts fitting right?. .basically everything i buy doesn't fit right and i have to become CHIP FOOSE to make them fit on occasions. . .ex: Skunk 2 Spacer. .never fit right and always made my manifold touch my hood. .and the Kinetix V+ i had to cut away at some of the Hood Center Support beams so nothing touches. .

I ran two 2007 350z, with the HR, and beat them by a car n 1/2 everytime. Tried from digs, and rolls. Same result.

Ran, a friend 2006 Z with intake, exhaust, plenum spacers, and took him 2-3 cars, and was still pulling.

I have a 2003 Track model. All these were friendly races with friends I know. I wanted to see where my car stands.

Oh and I ran my friends 2001 Cobra. it still has 320hp, and he has intake, and exhaust. I was dead even with him.

My car is 100% stock.

Sorry if its in the wrong section.

My350z.com, the forum where just about everyone has a freak motor. In that case I must have one as well as I keep killing mt Z's with my stock one. The ones that do pull on me obviously have more freak of a motor than mine. It can't possibly be driver ineptitude... With today's manufacturing techniques\tolerances I doubt your car is special, you probably just don't fail at life. As for you loosing in your buddies cars against your own, you're familiar and most efficient with your car's seating/steering position.

I think the previous owner swapped out your VQ35 for a B18 with VEEETEC and thats why yours is so fast.
