Sponsership
Anyone here sponsered? I just got sposered by Team SCP sem pro devision-10,000 dollars a year attributed to 50% off everything I buy. I have to go to 3 car shows, have to have 2 stickers on my car and have to spend a min of 1,000 dollars on my car a year (which I will prob do lol). It costed me $135 dollars.

yea I asked why so much money, and they replied it's a one time fee. I talked to the adminstrator, and he said I can go to any performance website pick a part-get the part number and they will contact the company to get the wholesale price, then pay 50% of that cost and it would be deducted from my $10,000 a year

I'm sponsored through SCP too, and it's a joke. You don't get crap for a discount, they inflate the suggested reatil price, add a discount and you get the same price as any other website, and the percentage left over comes out of the 10k, you still have to pay for %70+ of the product.

yea when they said 50% off I knew there was going to be a catch. At least I'll see a little benifit. I dont plan on putting those stickers on my car haha

**** sponsorships. no point in me getting sponsored now. my build is damn near complete. it seems like all the companies want to sponsor you after you have bought all your damn parts

^^^ aint that the truth! i have a buddy who had a fully build 330 with a brembo BBK already on the car, and brembo offered him their GTR kit for half price ($7,000).
i feel like they are like: "hey, i see you have tein coil overs, wanna be sponsored by tein?"
I was wondering what team SCP was

I'm kicking around the idea of sponsoring some people myself, but wouldn't expect someone to pay ME to sponsor THEM?? That just sounds weird? I'd say you got took man.

I got suckered into a "sponsorship" back in my younger late-teen days. So from now on, unless its Brembo or Top Secret or something big name, and I have to pay for you to sponsor me, you can forget it.
