Well I just thought I would shed some more light on the 2004 model delivery timeframe. I placed my order back in the end of March and will not be receiving my car until end of July. So instead of getting a 2003 I will be getting a 2004 since the order was entered into the system after the 2003 build deadline which pushed it to a 2004. My 2004 build date is going to be July 3rd. Which they then gave me delivery for the end of the month.
So look for the 04's by the end of July.

So when do the '04s hit the floor?
BTW, the uber-long wait is just going to make you that much happier with your new Z! Also, be glad you are getting an '04. Hopefully you will be able to avoid the "new car bugs" that people have been experiencing.

even the 03's built after a certain date are fixed of most bugs. I think the transmission bug was the most severe, but I haven't encountered any of them yet.

Your build date is probably not really "July 3rd" but is more likely "July 03", or July 2003. (They generally list a build month, not a build date. The car will ship on the boat in August and take 3 weeks travel to the port. From the port you could allow 1 week to get it processed and trucked to the dealer. So I would expect it by the end of August, not July.
Anyway, I could be wrong and I hope I am and you get it in July, but be prepared for August, too.

I doubt you will see the car at the end of July. The build date on my car was july 2, 2002. My car was delivered on September 11, 2002. It typically takes two months from build date to delivery date since the car is built in Japan. The boat trip normally takes 3-4 weeks.

Hey since my predicted delivery date has come and gone I'm not expecting it anytime soon. When it comes in it comes in.
I ordered a Silverstone Enthusiast 6MT with Aero. I then placed an order for my floormats, kickplates, and trunk mat from a third party (to save some cash). I did a search from my location out 500 miles and could not find a Silverstone Enthusiast 6MT anywhere, so I placed the order. (That was after about 3 weeks of searching)
So I guess we can hope for the best and that my car will come in with the Roadsters.
But what will really steam my hide is that if the 2004's are available for VPP. Since I qualify for VPP I could possibly get screwed out of that.
At least I didn't order a Brickyard.

I put in a order 2 weeks ago for a 2003 to be shipped from Japan, the dealer said that they were still making it. So to make him prove to me that they factory ordered mine, they said that they will show me a certificate or something of the build date. I ordered my car June 21st. Coming in first week of August. got a Silverstone Touring 5AT, splash gaurds, airbags around, kick plates, and trunk and floor mats for $31,100 not including taxes.
I even made it a stipulation that I better not see more then 15 mile on my car or else I am not taking it. I know about test driving it out of the factory in Japan, but here all they need to do is drive it to the gas station and back. Just wondering how people will get there 2004 before i get my 2003.
