![Question](https://my350z.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Does anyone have pictures of the track model's cloth interior? I think I want to go track so I can learn auto-cross, but I also want to make sure I like the interior enough to justify the extra $$. ![Smilie](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks. Hopefully, I'll be joining your ranks soon. Currently an AudiWorlder with a 2001.5 1.8T X-Chipped (+40 hp)/H&R Suspension.

are you aware that the track cloth is the same as the regular cloth? The interior is exactly the same infact.
The track is worth it simply because it sets you apart, and getting light weight rims for the Z is very expensive.
The Z is very fun. One question... how many times has your audi been back to dealer with warranty work? How many rattles and squeaks do yo have?

I love my Audi. I need something fast now, though.
I was going to get an S4, but due to problems with blown turbos and the amount of mods I'd have to make to get it to my spec (chip, exhuast, suspension, short-shifter, blah blah blah) would get rather expensive. Then, I'd just be waiting for the K03s to go and would have to pay another couple thousand.
So, I decided to go with something that I could keep pretty much stock. Hence the Z.
My Audi has had 1 problem in a year and a half of ownership. There was a rattle from one of the manifold plates that was fixed. That's it. The service and the car have been excellent. I'm just looking for something that's a little more of a driver's car.

Does the cloth seat wear out fast or something? Cause I've ordered an 04' track, and the dealer can install leather seat for me for $1700 CND, I'm still thinking about it, what do you guys think?

I've got 8000 miles on mine and I've had to have the seat shaven twice. I rarely wear jeans and my purse won't fit in my pocket! lol. I believe it has to do with how you get in and out of the car.

I don't have a single problem with my driver's side seat, but my passenger side (which is hardly even used, except by hubby) is looking pretty shabby.
I think I should make hubby buy me a new one, since he's the one that messed it up. Grrr.

I learned from my old 3000GT how to get in and out of sport cars without killing the seat. My 3000 got trashed due to my butt sliding across the lower side support section - and it is no where as large as the 350's. What I do now getting in is:
1) Place my left hand on the outside side support section
2) Put my Right foot in
3) When I get in, I slide my butt across my hand, thus protecting the cloth from wear
4) once I am in, I just move my hand and close the door
Getting out is more of a roll out procedure:
1) Put my left foot out
2) put my left hand on the kickplate
3) roll my body out
4) Once I am out, I will be facing the back of the car
No fabric wear following this procedure. If you just throw yourself into a car like a lazy POS, and not control your body, then you will pay with worn out seats.

The same thing will happen to leather as it does cloth - albeit it will take years. But I've seen many a leather seat torn up where the butt slides across it getting in.

The cloth seats were okay, but I ended up getting aftermarket leather a few days ago. It is a HUGE difference in terms of comfort. Leather (I got orange) set me back $850 including installation.
