Z gets no respect? Rant
well i have to rant for a bit... This weekend i went to a local auto cross event sponsored by this a corvette club. There were a bunch of cars there about 20 vettes, 10 vipers and a hand full of mixed cars there.. and there were a few occasions where i felt attacked / hated on because on my Z.
1. on saturday, I was lining up to run a lap and there were a couple of guys near the front starting line watching, so I pull up and they start yelling "goooo nissan" "come on 350z" but in a very sarcastic way. I run my lap and line back up and notice one of the guys spot me, so he taps his friend on the back and they both turn to me and start to point and laugh.
The thing is one of the guys had a toyota celica with pos wheels, unpainted aftermarket front bumper , carbon fiber hood with a painted hoopd scoop it looked like 
and the other guy had a ford mustang 93-98 stlye with ebay front headlights and nasty chrome wheels.. also the celica's best run was 104.xxx and the mustang like 1:10.xxx my best run was 58.454 which was in the top ten..
2. on sunday, i was in line waiting to run a lap and there was this chick that looked like a butch lesbian with some dude in a c5 vette lined up next to me, and I heard the chick say "oh look one of those 300zx... huh 350z, stupid why is it here" the thing is he couldnt get under a min lap..
There were a few other comments I heard this weekend about my car that really pissed me off...I just dont get why people were hating on my car, I kept up with the evos, beat a few sti's, beat a ton of vetts, stock vipers, honda's, rx8's, ect...

2nd. Last run of the day hit a few cones on the last turn was a 59:00 run with penalties

By the way what did that Porsche and Ferrari run? Sounds like a nice event I wonder if some those haters went away thinking hell I going to have to get me one them dar Z-cars. Did you see the time he ran?

Yeah i just ignored them but its just that if I see a car I dont like or think looks ugly I would never point and laugh at it or talk **** about it, like some of the people who messed with me...

yup porsche GT3 turbo ran 53.xxx (one hell of a car! turbo AWD FTW)
the ferrari ran but he was easy on it, he ran like a 1:15

I know it pisses you off but you've just gotta try and ignore it. Just remember that in the celica guys mind he's probably thinking "damn I wish I could afford one of those" so he gives you **** to mask his inadequacy

sounds like there were a bunch of old men that hit a mid life crisis, and can only drive their 60k + cars about as well as they can please a women, don't sweat it bro, beat them on the track thats all that matters
