350z lawsuit
I get a letter from Nissan North America, inc. It has my name and my vin number on the front. I open it up and has 4 pages of information on this tire feathering lawsuit on 2003-2004 Z.
Has anyone else got this?

Notice of proposed settlement
If you bought or leased a 2003-2004 Nissan 350Z you may qualify for benefits from a class action settlement.
It goes on about tire feathering and your rights and choices. It looks like all you will get out of it is $150.00 dealer shopping card from Nissan like thats anything.
The lawsuit is being filed out of California I live in Ohio. It seems odd I was wondering if anyone else received anything like this in the mail.

Actually about 1 OEM POS Potenza, if I recall correctly. So you can have the same problem keep occurring, I guess.

I am not the orginal owner I bought the car last summer.
You might want to read that more closely. I just spoke with a friend who just received his letter and he says you have to have had your tires replaced twice.
That disqualified him so his letter goes into the trash.

You are right there is alot of qualifications to get any kind of benefit out of it.
They give you 5 choices they say if you do nothing you give up the right to sue on these claims later. If you opt out of the settlement you keep your right to file your own lawsuit. I could care less about the $150.00 but it looks they are trying to buy you off cheap if there is more to the front end problem.
I was going to opt out of the settlement.
Like most class action suits, no one really wins but the attorneys. Do you think they settled for dealership gift cards?
I'm curious what the attorney costs were in this. Often it says in the letter of settlement.
