350Z in Midnight Club II
Midnight Club II is the second street racing game from Rockstar, where you race against other people for their rides. Similar to Tokyo Highway Battle. This type of game is an arcade racer and will be lacking for those into the Gran Turismo games.
All the cars in the game are similar to real life cars, but with just enough changes so that the developer doesn't have to pay licensing rights to the auto manufacturers.
When you get to Tokyo later in the game, you'll come up against a racer named Shing. The first time you race him he has a 350z. The second time you race him he has a Lexus look alike (GS400 I think) and you win it once you beat him (Lusso XT). Third time you race you're now up against seven 350Z's. Win this race and you get the Z. In the game it is called RSMC 15.
The front has an exaggerated air intake and the rear looks like the concept Z with the exhaust in the center.
The car even handles like in real life, doesn't fishtail easily, understeers in corners. In the game the car is mainly useful on the circuits that have long straightaways, not too good on circuits that have lots of sharp turns.

Wow, those graphics are pretty damn horrible.
Doesn't the game support TNL at all? Wouldn't expect muddy graphics like this from a game released even 2-3 years ago.

rockstar really sucks at graphics. their games would be great if they made better graphics for them....and clearer ones too. I hate playing GTA Vice City on my HDTV because it looks horrible, all muddy and blurry whereas most games look great.

It appears to me much of the menu graphics were designed for consoles, as the game is also available on PS2 and XBox.
Highest resolution is 1880x1440x32, but I can't test it as my monitor doesn't go that high.
1280x1024x32 looks great though it does slow down more than 640x480x32.

The only graphics options are:
Fullscreen effects on/off
Shadows on/off
Reflections on/off
Environment Mapping on/off

The PC version has better textures if you go up resolution wise, but still not as good as games targeted for PC only. Rockstar did do a better job customizing GTA Vice City for PC vs. GTA III

yeah I rented that for my XBOX.
It was pretty fun. While the graphics are nothing to wright hiome about - they looked better than those grabs - esp those played out circa 1992 particle effect smoke from the tires...ughh.
The dark (midnight) aspect of the game doesnt help either.
8 player on XBL was pretty tight tho'
