I have some issues shifting into 6th, its not horribly hard, I think it's suppose to be a little hard since you don't want to hit reverse. I figure part of my problem is I have only driven 5 speeds until the Z.

I occasionally have this problem. Sometimes it feels like I am blocked out of the 6th gear, usually its at higher speeds on the highway. No idea why, but it happens sometimes, not very frequently.

i dont have any intentions of taking it in yet even though i know warrenty will cover it... i work at a dealer ... (non nissan) and i know how techs are about stupid ish like this.. they will deny the problem until something catastrophic happens... nobody wants to open a tranny up under warrenty... they dont get paid enough to do it

I have a 2006 Z. It's not hard to get it into 6th gear, but it is awkward. For whatever reason I find it awkward moving the shifter into that position, but I don't think I have to force it in.

prob needs adjusting for the 6th gear throw, or the syncro's inside the tranny are shot from a chain reaction from the previous problem.

Hmm, I have a similar problem except for 1st to 2nd shifts. 5th to 6th goes smoothly, but when I shift into second, it's a little to the right and not straight down... Does anyone else have this?

I know this thread has been here for quite some time.
a. Never had problems shifting in 6th as stock.
b. Now I have a Vortech S/C, Cams, etc. still no problem shifting 6th gear.
I would have it in the dealership asap, if under warranty, then make use of it. Take it every month if you have to, that's what warranties are for.

Need an update on the situation as to what's been done.
