Brickyard is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's nickname. The Speedway has been known as the Brickyard since 1909, when the surface of the 2 1/2-mile oval track consisted of 3.2 million bricks. A single strip of bricks, called the "yard of bricks," remains at the track's start/finish line.

I'll chime in here since I was the guy making the offer. I saw the ad and thought that this would be a chance for me to get an auto. Why would I want to get an auto? Well because of a shoulder injury (nerve damage) I had a while back that irritates me when I drive sometimes. That being said I think it really all depends on your location when it comes to cars. Here I'm sure I could sell my "brickyard base" for $14k easy. It would be the cheapest one around, here at least. Because of the mileage of your car (74k) I figure I could find a similar one for around $15k, again around here. So I guess it really all depends. It's hard to make equal trades since everyone has a different idea of what there vehicle is worth.

Either way, it's what you're up for. I'd suggest checking out the other vehicle and seeing how it rides/feels. Also, just get the carfax account and do it if you're really interested. Personally, I wouldn't do it because you will probably kick yourself in the *** later for all the features you will be giving up, IMHO.

doesn't seem like an unreasonable trade to me, yes the autos cost more new but in the used 350z market an auto is worth less than a manual and dropping 30k miles is worth a fair bit as well. so if they traded i wouldn't say anyone got a bad deal, but the cars are different enough that it would be a subjective decision
