I want to get a Z but...
The bouncey ride comments throughout the forum is bothering me. I don't have a problem with stiff suspension, but many comments I see on this board makes mention of porposing on concrete roads. I am not sure what to make of it. I did a test drive and didn't notice this. Is this isolated to certain earlier models? Has Nissan made any changes to later models to address this?
I am afraid to order one and have this problem. I would appreciate your comments.
Thanks in advance.

I have no issues with mine.. At certain speeds, you will sometimes notice its a little bouncier than you would think, but it's a sports car, expect it. At most highway speeds, I could drive for hours and be very comfortable.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember reading that much of this problem was corrected with Z's built after December '02.
Mine was built right around that time and delivered late Feb. I have 17" wheels + stock tires and haven't had any problems (i.e. no ride problems, nor any abnormal tire wear reported by others).

In 5000 miles and a pre-12/02 build date, I have only noticed this once, on my Touring 6MT and that was on a road trip to Boston.
5 lanes of very heavily traveled and worn pavement finally got the bounce to occur.
I almost didn't believe it until I experienced it. I have to say, though, that unless this is the type of driving you are going to do consistently, it is not an issue worth considering in buying the car.
