Angry F***King Dealers

So i took my car too the dealer to see about my engine prob they charged me $330 just to tell me that my engine was gone. Eatting oil real bad. So after that i went and picked it up. And once I got it home I looked at the bumper and my v2 was cracked in half and the hole side scraped up. WTF!!!!!.. Are they too lazy too use ramps. UUUHHHHHH. Then they tried to say they didn't do it or see it happen. Heres Some pics of the damage. Sorry for quality cell pics..

I would go right back over there talk to GM..

You need to Raise ALL kinds of HELL!! up in there..

Don't back down.

That is why I don't go to a dealer unless it's warranty issue.

Wow..sorry for what happened..always a good thing to do a walk around with the shop manager anytime you leave your car at the dealer. I hope you get this taken care of.

the dealer is required to do a walk around for any damage prior to taking the car in. if you knew it wasn't there, and they didn't log it, they're liable. I'd go back and raise hell...in a nice way!

But the issue is him not noticing it until he got home. Playing devils advocate, if i were the manager, who i doubt will admit he didnt do a required walk around, i would simply state that he could have done it after he left the shop. The burden of proof would then lie on the customer.

Honestly, my dealership doesnt do walk arounds. I have owned 5 Nissans and never once have they done one if i brought it in for PM or service.

Damn, that sucks dude...you should check it before you leave the dealer next time just to be on the safe side. Since you didn't notice it until you got home, they could just say that you did it on the way driving home. Anyway, good luck and hope they agree to fix it.

That really sucks man. You definately should have checked it out before leaving the dealership. From the looks of it I don't know how you missed it??? The dealer could just say they're not responsible, because it could have happened after you left. But hopefully they'll be good sports about it and cover the repairs. Good luck man!

If the dealership doesn't respond for a second... Call Nissan North America, they typically have very little tolerance for Dealership Incompetency, from my personal experience... They look at the "Entire" picture from 30,000 feet, a quality that stealerships too often forget...

The burden of proof is on you. Did you take pics before you took the car to the dealer? Did you look at the ramp that they drove it up on? It looks pretty beat up with chips and bugs and whatnot.

Which dealership was it Petaluma or Santa Rosa Nissan? Santa Rosa Nissan can't even wash the car, even though I told them not to, without breaking denting or scratching sheet.
