a NEW observation!
So while I was having dinner with one of my buddies in Thousand Oaks CA I decided we should go check out the TO Auto Mall. I dont know the name of the Nissan dealership there....... They have a Redline Touring AT there right now. The buyer was there signing the paperwork.........Blah....Blah....DROOLED.....and so on.....But then I noticed something during fairly close exterior inspection..........The front fenders are ROLLED FROM THE FACTORY.....and I mean rolled like you could say maybe CREASED....If you pinched the fender at the edge its like a 1/4 inch thick and goes almost vertically back up into the fender.....NICE.....NISSAN has got there shizzy together...... Now you dont have to backyard boogie it with a baseball bat if you want to lower it..NOT that Im gonna slam it, just gettin the info out there........BUT no rolled fenders in the back, so you peeps that want to run a 18x9.5 are gonna have to roll it....AND it still looks like it might be a tight fit for an 9.5

OK here goes
Fender= part of the body of the car that covers the wheels
On most cars the EDGE (END) of the fenders is about 1 inch thick. The the lip (EDGE) on most fenders run parallel to the ground and protrudes into the wheel well. If you paln on lowering the car a fair amount or plan on running a wider wheels and tire combo than stock, then you can run into issue of the tire rubbing against the fender.....Soooooo....A cheap easy fix for people to due to add clearance is to bend or ROLL that lip up..hence the term "ROLLED FENDERS".... The simplest way (and the easiest way to F up your car) is to take a bat, insert it into the gap between your tire and fender. then leverage against the tire while rolling the bat along....The best way is to find a tuner shop that has a machine that does this (YES THEY DO EXIST)......But us lucky Z owners will not have to do this because NISSAN has done it for US..........................CLASS DISMISSED

Thx for the link IMR2, and the explanation Wiley. The things you learn on this site. And I can now see your enthusiasm Wiley. Its only a very small point, but the fact that Nissan would go to the trouble to roll up the fenders for the few people that matters for is a nice touch. Of course, to look a gift horse in the mouth...I wonder why they didn't do the back?

Shall I write it up as a term paper?
You want it doulbe spaced? LOL
Yeah its kinda messy and the "Class Dismissed" was uncalled for, I am sorry. I let some current personal troubles peak thru. It will not happen again.
