Default Question about ordering

If I were to lease a car that I ordered, which would be here in like November, can I get a set lease price, etc before i order? or do i have to wait till after I order it and it arrives, and then work out the details.

thats what a sales rep told me, but i think it would be stupid to wait 2-3 months and then find out they are going to rape you with the price once you get it

When I ordered my car last year, my dealer put down in the contract the price I'd be paying, etc.

Don't sign anything that leaves you obligated to buy a car for an unset price!

What do you mean by "complete your order?" I went to the dealer on Jun 30th and the order was placed on Jul 8th. They place orderes at the beginning of the month...They told me it'll take around 3 mos. for the car to get here...Only 68 more days to go

That sounds about right now--to put in an order, have the car built, shipped over, and delivered to the dealership should take about that long, if not a little longer.

What i was concerned about was the pricing when you ordered. The guy told me we would only do MSRP orders, and when it comes, we decide the lease because the residuals and such change.

I dont want to order it and then get screwed later on...

also, they want a $1000 non-refundable deposit! so worst case i lose a thousand bucks and 3 months waiting for a Z!

Never give them a non refundable deposit. All deposits should be refundable if the dealer does not perform.

It will be almost impossible for you to get a fixed price on your lease at this time. The interest rate (money factor) on the lease can change based on the prime rates at banks. The residual value and MSRP can also change too in the next 90 days.

The deposit you give them for the car should be able to lock in the price and not just put you on a waiting list.

Good luck!!
