That's why I leased mine. I know I'm not keeping mine longer than 3 years, since I tend to like the latest thing.

Dealerships always try to screw you on a trade in.
Apparently my 06 is worth $27-29,000 to them (Canadian) but on craigslist and everywhere else people are selling them between $34,000 -$37,000 depending on the condition etc.
Word of advice...sell it privately, you`ll get more for it.
Every dealership has their own little `black book` or blue book or some coloured book. All with completely under appraised values for cars. It`s kind of like the stock market...buy low and sell high. They want to make a profit from what you`re giving them.
