I just called my dealer and he said they dont get a VIN until they arrive.
They do have one on the floor today, if anyone can get out to Glendale Nissan (484 E. North Av, Glendale Heights). It is a Chrome Silver.
He said the one of the floor is 2 weeks earlier than the delivery date he was told by nissan.
So maybe I get mine in the middle of November instead of at the end.

I picked my Chrome Silver Touring 6MT up on Saturday from Star Nissan too. They are great, treated me very very well. I heard wr_mem and I might be two of the first 4 or 5 Z's in all of Chicago. The car is simply awesome.
Like wr_mem I only saw pictures and the one at the auto show, but nothing compares to the car in person. Incredible!!!
I won't go into loads of details, but I personally have no problem with the rear view visability. I'm 5'9" and no problems. The door frame isn't that high. I find resting my arm on the door frame while driving is very comfortable. The car is very well laid out inside, a dream to drive, and I drove it a lot over the weekend.
We should all meet at the Chicago Motor Speedway on Sept. 8th. Put some faces with the names from my350z.com.
Later.

Ah....I was just finishing up with the folks at Star and getting ready to leave at 4:30. Good thing you stopped by when you did, another 1/2 hour or so I was gone. You saw it when it was by the entrance to the service department.

As to the G35C or the 350Z....depends on what you want. Will you ever attempt to use the back seat of the G35C? I personally love th Z. I'm glad I waiting, it's more incredible than I expected and I had some high expectations. The car is awesome. Heads turned everywhere I went over the weekend and this morning on the way to work.
