Default 350z tran/clutch

Hi, i just got my 08 350z tour yesterday and im bringing it back to the dealership so they can install the catback exhaust

My question is with all those problems with the tran/clutch on the older 350z model, do you think Nissan fix those issues on the 08 model because i don't want the hassle of repairing a new car all the time. I want a good functioning car for many years.

The day after you buy a car is not the day to start worrying about future reliability.

2300 miles since I've gotten mine and so far so good, transmission wise. Other than the tsb clutch slave cylinder recall for the 07s, I don't think the new Zs have any widespread problems.

Well I'm here at the dealership where I got my car, and here cause of my clutch getting stuck. I have a 08. So my words of advise is as soon as you have any problems get it checked out. There telling me if I let them check it, it's a 6 hour job just to check the tranny and clutch at 100 an hour. I drive my z everyday to work school and for personal use. And If they can't find Anything wrong. And if there is hot spots on the flywheel, Nissan case it as a wear isusse and it's a 2600 to replace the clutch... I'm like WTF people.... I'm hear cause my clutch got clutch got stuck and it burnt the heck out of it...... The Z is a great car but there are too many costly defects l, and Nissan does not back there warrenty as they should.

My service adviser just told me Nissan didn't cover a guy with 11000 miles on his with my same problem....to me it's like people who have the GTR....100000 sport car and can't be used for it proforumance cause it'll break down and Nissan won't cover it. Any how looks like I need a new clutch.... Anyone know of a good street and strip clutch?

Zs are generally quite reliable. No problems with my 03. You've got a warranty if something comes up.

yea I still have warrenty but there giving me the run around about how 90% of the time Nissan will class it as a wear and rear part... That I under stand but.... The big why is why my clutch is getting stuck? There is no wear and tear for is to get stuck.... Oh well another Nissan battle
