Default Lost both remotes, possible to get one from dealer?? Help!

As the subject says, I think I lost both remotes, is it possible to get a third made without having to swap out the entire system? I have the keys, just not the remotes.

I think its possible, but figure it would have to be programed at the factory (the remote), why don't you ask your dealer.

if he/she says you have to replace it, just go with an aftermarket one, most likely cheaper and better.

the dealer can program the remote. You can program it as well if you have a Factory service manual. It is not programmed at the factory, it is programmed before you take delivery.

I'll sell you a remote for $15. I have an extra from the car I totaled.

$15.00 is a good deal. I see them on ebay from time to time. Both Nissan and Infiniti are the same. They seem to sell in the $30.00 range, I beliive.

You don't need a remote to reprogram the system.. its done via a sequence of things with the inition, and locks in the car.

I bought remotes off ebay.. got lucky and got one for $10.

Just get a replacement remote and reprogram it yourself. I have the directions here if needed.

Your dealer will also charge you about $60 to program the remote, but it is definately possible to get the remote and have it programmed at the dealer

$54 for a genuine Nissan replacement.

I've bought from these guys before for another car and they are a good place to do business..

That was going to be my question. Lose both remotes, but still have all the keys?

Default I can sell you one or two

I've got two from my 02 Maxima that I no longer use (have aftermarket alarm). The part # is the same.

I was able to get the Maxima to learn the remotes via an interesting sequence of putting the key in and out of the ignition 10 times. I'd guess that the Z has something similar.
