The key to getting out the cobwebs is not to redline your car. Just take off hard on some occasions and or just drive hard on an open straight and thats about it. Besides if you use premium gas your engines pretty much being nice and cleaned when you drive with that. If you however drive like a cotton headed old woman then of course you will start to catch some cobwebs in your ride, but that goes for any vehicle.

I didn't buy a Z to "grandma" the car. I would've bought something else if that was the case. That doesn't mean that I floor it everytime I take off, but I nail it at least once per day. 40k miles and runs like new (better imo). I think that's about all that I can "safely" say on this forum...

Sorry, but I'm new to the 350...

My 2008 Touring 6MT redlines at 7,500. I've been over 7 (after 1,500 easy miles), but haven't hit redline quite, and haven't hit any limiter. Is the limiter set higher on the '08?

That's kind of what I was thinking... The Z is my daily driver, but if I didn't want to nail it once in a while, I'd have stuck with an Altima.

PS - NICE avatar!! There's an annoying black spot on my screen, so I can't quite see it...

Yeah, I hate that black spot... But if it were gone I'd have TWO new problems.

Might not be an issue with Z's because they are usually driven pretty hard anyways, but if you have an average family sedan that never goes about 4,000 RPMs. Should you give it the beans every once in a while?

Not sure if this is a myth or not.
To give you a straight answer without all of the 12 year old jokes, this is actually true. The engine is built to handle this and it is good to do so every once in a while.
