I got an idea, yesterday when i was with brian off the forums, who helped me take parts off the Z. BTW the rims, exhaust, intake has all been sold! but then it hit me, the insurance guy said someone would try to buy it at an auction, the car isnt' that bad. The motor was still running and i shut it off at the accident.

I'm thinking, 1500 they'll pay, if anyone wants in i'll see anything off the car, to help me get the cash raised to go to auction, although i have the money myself. MY plan is, to buy my baby back,

buy a 240sx and swap the motor in, i mean why not, i only had 40k miles on the motor, and with it out i can do a lot of upgrades to it before i drop it in.

Sounds like project to me. what do you guys think about that?

Anyone got dibbs on any parts on the car, it was a 03 touring, i'll post pics up of the damage tomorrow. How fast is a 240sx with that motor in it? Is it worth doing?

 

first post the story of how you totalled it for the lulz. next.. its not gonna be cheap and its not gonna be easy to swap the engine and start a new project. i dont think a feeble minded person like you would be able to handle it

i'm 25, i'm not broke! i already posted how it got totalled, a drunk driver t-boned me. I can handle the build, money is not an issue, how much do you think it'll cost, surely not as much as the turbo i was putting in would've. The reason i'm saying that is because i loved my car, i didn't ask to lose it, and i refuse to buy another one, when mine had everything replaced, i just replaced the brakes and i'm just feeling mighty stupid the car got hit, i should've left it in the garage. But now here's my opportunity to have a 2200lb version of the same car, with at least 280whp. i think i can manage the build we have plenty of fabricators here in michigan. F#$k it's the motor city LOL, or was, but anyway thanks for the positive encouragement.

hell yea, a vq engine swap in a 240sx would be awesome, its not hard to do and not that expensive, i say go for it and keep us posted!
