Default 2nd/4th to 6th gear grind

Does this happen to anyone? when your in 2nd or 4th, you speed up and change to 6th and it grinds? Reason for this it hat i switch too fast roughly 1 second.. if you do it slowly its fine and does with without a grind.

Is it just me or a common thing with z's, or even all trasmisions?

Does it grind or is it just stiff / hard going into gear?

My '06 does it going from 4th straight to 6th. Haven't driven it in so long can't remember if it does it 2nd to 4th, probably does.

If I go from 4th then put it in 5th, even for a split second then 6th it's fine. The roads I drive, I barely even use 6th, or even 5th all that much.

Normal if you are shifting quickly. You have to understand how syncros work to see why but under some conditions, this would be normal. If it happens on a slow easy shift, then you have worn syncro.

When i shift form 2nd/4th to 6th slowly its fine, but then i do it automatically not thinking about it (roughly a second) it grinds. Everytime i get on the highway after college, i do 4th on the ramp, then speed up to 65~ and switch to 6th quickly and it grinds. I always thoguht it was me not pressing the clutch, but every day when i do it in exacly the same spot i started scratching my head
Anyone wana give a quick lesson on the syncros and why it happens, if i shift quickly skipping 5th?

Why skip 5th if its such a problem? That gear was put there for some reason.
