Default 4 days...already keyed

So I've had my Z for FOUR EFFING DAYS and someone has already keyed it. They didn't do a very good job, looks like most of it will buff out, but they definitely got under the paint a little bit at one point.

WTF is wrong with people.

Why do I keep hearing stories about Z's getting keyed?! Why would anyone do that?

The sacred rule among men is that you NEVER mess with another guy's car. The penalty for breaking that rule is castration.

I'm seriously getting more concerned about taking my Z to the grocery store now. It seems like most of the people here in Oregon are pretty nice, but who knows. Now I'm all paranoid.

I washed the car yesterday, it wasn't there. I went to a party last night and my friend let me park the Z up near the garage away from all the other cars. There's also a door nearby that some people were using to leave. Pretty sure somebody got it on their way out.

I have a suspicion as to who it was. I showed the car to my friend and his g/f and she said "omg. im so jealous" Later on that night we were playing beer pong and I was talking a lot of crap to her. She's also a very immature person in general so my bet is that it was her.

ANYWAYS, just went up to the detail shop and the guy buffed about 80% of it out. The two spots where they got into the paint, there's nothing we can do about. You could see it clearly from 10 feet away this morning. You have to be within 10 inches now. I'll take it.

I never drive my Z to a party unless I completely have to... I'd rather get a ride or drive my beater.

I guess you better consider who you hang out with in the future.

I think the motivation behind it is for most people the economy, they see a foreign car and think "Thats why our economy is in the *******!" and key it. My dads has ties to the big 3, and there has been so many stories of people keying foreign cars.

you think thats bad? i got my Z last week and someone already hit it (hit and run) Im a high school student so it was in the parking lot, i go out there when someone told me they saw a scratch, its pretty bad up close .. the hit mostly my license plate though but you can still kind of notice it my front bumper when you get pretty close .. when i go out to grocery stores or anywhere public i park in two spots because i dont trust anyone!! little kids opening there doors carelessly will hit your Z and it might make you wanna cry when you see it

Umm... There's also the whole, "I can't have one of these... so I won't let him enjoy it!" attitude as well.

I think you're giving people WAY too much credit for critical thinking. My guess is that they are douchebags who drive a gold 1984 Chevy Celebrity and they don't think anyone else deserves something better.

Normally, I wouldn't take it to a party. My Civic was actually hit one night last year while at a party at the same house. However, seeing that this was the first time I've seen all my friends in awhile and I just got the car, I brought it to show them. I'm still debating on whether or not I want to confront the girl I think did it.

It's someone you know, and someone that doesn't like you. No one would just 'key' a car for no reason.

Damn Juju, that sucks it happened to such a nice looking Z.

You think she would admit it if you confront her? If you are 100% sure it was her just key her car in the exact same place yours was.

I don't think people wake up in the morning and say "honey, I feel like going out and keying the HELL out of a 350z...Those things are hurting our economy!"

I detect a hater in your circle of friends OP
