Some people get way too carried away when it comes to bashing the Z's auto tranny
For the record, all you peeps who keep calling it a trptronic, it's not, whole different configuration inside, wish i could say what it's called, but for fear of persacution, i will refrain from such, until i get correct name...last time i checked, shifting didn't make my dick bigger or anything, so whats the deal with pushing in a clutch.......?
lol Sounds to me like someone made a bad decision a couple of years ago and is trying to deal by lashing out at others who has what he wants deep down. It has to suck knowing that the nightmare you wake up from every morning turns out to be real. Do yourself a favor and trade yours in or sell it and get the car you really want.
Easy there Natalie. This thing is bigger than the both of us. I don't blame you or the guys, I blame Nissan. And being that this is an auto kinda people thread, I expected not to be popular with you guys, so no hurt feelings here. It' just, even back in high school when someone got a new sports car of any kind, everyone rushed out to see. After admiring the beauty of the car, the first place I looked was the console. If it was an auto, the look of disappointment, followed by the question why? I have always been a manual guy and always will be. It's just something we will never agree on. a personal opinion, like who was the best guitar player.
ignorance is bliss i guess. too all of you saying that manual is the only way to go, thats fine, but dont bash others for what they have. i got my auto because pushing in a clutch is too hard on my knees, would have had to have surgery way sooner they i do now, and auto doesnt make it any less of a sports car, but if you macho 6sp is the only real car kinda people need to put me down for choosing my auto then go ahead, instead of anger im just gonna sit here and love my z
do what makes you happy not what makes you "cool"

It really makes me sad that the z was even offered in auto. I can't help but to feel like it takes a little of It's appeal away by allowing just anyone to own one. I'm not hating, just my opinion. But, I guess It's good for all the ladies and you auto guys. P.S Hat's off to you auto guys, I wouldn't have the ***** to tell anyone I owned one.
So let me make sure I understood what you feel sad about. You want your Nissan 350Z to be exclusive. You feel that because it is offered with a 5AT, anyone can own one. By inference, you are stating that if it was NOT offered in a 5AT, it would be exclusive.
You are really proud of being able to drive a 6MT as if it is some innate natural skill that only the select blessed few are privileged enough to have. I hate to break it to you, but my wife is possibly the worst driver in the world (ask my insurance company) and she learned to drive stick in under 15 minutes and has only stalled once! Driving stick is not difficult. Check around...most of the 350Z's on this site are 6MT, so clearly, it is not rare nor difficult. The 350Z is a popular car due to its low cost for relatively high performance, its reputation, its rich history, its looks, and Nissan's marketing. Even if only offered as a 6MT, it would not be an exclusive car and would not limit owners to the super elite that can figure out how to push a pedal with their left foot, as other people would learn how to extend their left leg in order to buy one. I'm sure that many people on here learned to drive stick in their Z. I know I did.
My first Z was a 2005 base coupe 6MT. I decided that wasn't for me after a few years of driving in traffic for work and talking on the cell all the time. It was a PITA. I loved the car, but I hated driving it every day. I got a 2006 ZR 5AT and dumped over $60,000 into it. Let's put your car and mine head to head in anything, literally anything, and see what you have to say. I wish the Z were more expensive so that idiots with no money could not come on here with sexually explicit and childish (albeit unoriginal) names and post stupid drivel like this.
This was the best post yet! /sarcasm

well said.
ok, but if you were modding the Z, i mean REALLY modding the Z. why would you leave the tranny the way it is? it wouldnt handle it too well i dont think. and for 80K i think you could possibly have a better tranny than the GTR. the GTR is sold "modded" it has a twin turbo, and performance parts. pout those parts (well, similar parts) into a Z and the Z is less of a car due to its auto tranny? how?
Also, the GTR is sold as a "factory" car.
Yes these are the affects of disability... and it is likely that your disability is age.... a wise individual - one who has progressed to a point where they think then speak instead of the other way around - would have taken one look at this thread - shook their head - muttered "Interesting" and kept on walking.
The reason you mentioned disability and age is that you are afflicted by both... Your disability is the fact that your inexperience didn't prevent you from engaging in this debate with anything but weak counterpoints. The fact that you get angry when someone talks to you in the same manner you talk to them... The fact that regardless of what kind of transmission you have - you don't have one of each which disqualifies you from accurate comment. And finally - your entire argument is based on personal opinion and personal preference instead of any single piece of hard evidence to back your claim.

The only thing upsetting me is dickholes like you that do not know how to read.

BTW, some of you have some growing up to do. Amazing you're so lacking in self esteem that you feel the need to spend so much time judging the vehicles driven by others.
