Dealer price sux! there are 2 ways you can get the sensor. The whole tube with sensor in it, or just the sensor itself.

If you were closer to me i would do the job for $350.00. just change the sensor.

Yeah i can get that as well and its made by Cardone (aftermarket) for $230.00 just for the part.

The one i was telling him about is OEM NISSAN Hitachi Part # 22680-7S000

Personally i like to use OEM products for sensors like that on my customers vehicles cause i wouldn't put that in my Z.

Its not that bad. I have an INJEN CAI and i have driven in hurricane storms of rain. I have yet to experience a sensor problem due to that. I guess its the luck of the draw for some.

The dealer probably told him how good the warranty was, and that everything was covered! They didnt have a clue about the cold air but they damn well knew that if the motor blew up they wouldnt cover nothing under that hood! Thats what they always do. If a rod would have came out the side of the motor they would have said that with the CAI on it, it voided the warranty on the motor! Damn stearlerships! I am a very spiteful person I would have made it very clear to the service manager and sales manager that every penny they took from me they would loose it in glass!!!!!!! Its amazing how nice it feels being able to sit in your ride a block away at 2 am and take a nice quite 22 and take as much glass out as you can in 5 min!
Was told everything covered the whole engine for two years. I'm thinking that's exactly what they are going to do that's why I am going to cancel the warranty. They just goingto bend me over each time.

They said that is the CAI wasn't on there that there is no way the MAF would have gotten damaged.

they will cut you a check for the unused portion. you will have a check/cash for the unused amount. it would be wise to throw this money on to your auto loan so you don't just **** it away
That's what i planned on doing. Just dump it right back into the loan.

The Z is an 04 Grand Touring under 15k miles. Paid $16,100. Some of the main selling points for me where the mileage, rims, exhaust and CAI.

I already got bent over and paid for the fix. Ive been lol

If i knew that the MAF was the problem i would have replaced it myself but i didn't know until i picked up my car. So i guess I'll walk off with my tail between my legs and use the rubber donut until my *** heals and move on.

It's not so much the tube but the filter that causes these problems...

I've noticed that it's the AEM model CAI that usually are the culprits that cause this issue.

You already know that after market parts void warranty. Instead of bending over and let them cold air intake you. Would be smart to order a whole OEM intake system to replace the CAI, and then report the failure to them.

CAI really sucks, had one in my accord and I got it all covered with ice and snow. And that accord never died at all.
