But yeah, dammut, thought I was gonna skate with a set of lug nuts that cost me 30 bucks. Instead, just had to lay out another $140! Which isn't that much money but for LUG NUTS??? I trip on all the colorful lugs that cost hundreds and no one sees 'em....
I'd sell. Those 8.5 / 9.5 are a downgrade from stock Rays IMO. The offsets probably make them even less aggressive than stock Rays too. You sure those specs will fit the Brembo caliper?

As far as "aggressive" is concerned, I'm much more into how well the set up works in the hills and after doing all the measurements prior to purchase, this set-up should give the '03 just a little wider track but otherwise look fairly stock.
But to be honest, I suspect I'm going to run them for a pretty short time as an experiment and then put 'em on my kid's car. They're pretty heavy compared to my Track V.1s and stock tire size setup. Know I'm going to lose steering response... going against everything I've ever said or done.
But a set of Volks for the price I paid.... just couldn't pass 'em up.

With the lug nut issue now resolved, I'll run 'em for bit and see what's what.

Mistuh Sparco: Just rashin' ya, dude. Just never ran across a set of whills requiring specific lug nuts. Haven't used shanked lugs in decades.... interesting issue to deal with.
Like my dad used to tell me: "Take a lesson in everything you do, good or bad."
BTW, factoid about the Volk GT-C wheels: I said they were heavy.... whew, like REALLY HEAVY. Rear wheel with tire mounted up: 57#!!!! Compare that to my Track V.1 with stock size 245/45-18: 46#. Dayam!!
Granted, we're talking inch taller, inch wider and tire section width 30mm wider but still....

25+ years in tech (and still doing it on a consulting basis) and I can't make it work? WTH....
Sad case I am. (But least of my worries.... Thanks on your kind comment too. I have "car friends" who can't figure out why I'm so obsessed with my cars (read: why I spend money on "depreciating assets"). I tell 'em, "Hey, other people spend money and time on AKC show dogs, others spend tons of money on stocking their wine cellars with 30 year old Bourdeaux'... because it's their passion.... I'm passionate too.... about Zs. PBBBBBBBBBTTTTT!!! " (with friendly middle finger extension). Laff.....
Oh, and "Because I can."

EDIT: P.S..... just figgered out the multi-quote thing. See what I can do when I put my mind to it?! Hahahahaha!

Big fines possible for washing your car. Serious. (Not sure who's going to enforce the law but you never know... probably one of those "I got a damm ticket in the MAIL?!?" things.)
Supposedly, you can take your car to a car wash that uses recycled water.
Just sayin'....
On that note, this piddly rain ain't doin' nuttin' for the drought. If it's gonna rain, let's get some SERIOUS rain, how 'bout it rain deities??
