Just back from paint two weeks ago.
I was having a problem with an intermittent P0300 random misfire. Replaced the battery ground, no change. Replaced the sub-harness to #1 & #3 coils on the passenger side. Problem is gone. Put about 15 miles over a 40 minute drive and car ran smoothly with no issues.
Replaced all of my speakers. Turned out only two were working.
When I upgraded the rear bulkhead speakers, I lined/sealed their compartments with sound deadening mat. My impression is it helps bass reproduction from those speakers.
And if it's not enough, the two 10" subs in the stealth audio box fill the gap 😄
I replaced the left-rear wheel bearing on the Z last night - that took care of the droning noise that was getting progressively worse (louder) over the last month. I had worried that perhaps it was the differential starting to make noise (the Z has 183k miles on it now), but thankfully it was just a wheel bearing. I checked the driveshaft input and axle flange outputs of the differential for play and did not find any. I started by replacing the left-rear wheel bearing assembly and that took care of the noise. I will replace the right-rear wheel bearing assembly, next.
The noise got progressively worse. I did not notice a difference in the level of noise whether the clutch was engaged in gear or not, whether the vehicle was under acceleration or engine braking or not, and there was also no change when loading one side of the car or the other through turns. The video shows the noise/grinding from the old bearing and then the silence from the new bearing. I re-used the original wheel hub, too.
I am collecting more and more peices for a little thump in my 350z. We had car come through the dealership heading to auction. After inspection they found the car to have an aftermarket sub and amp combo. Technician reported a sub was blown and it was trash... wellll.... I went through the right channels and I was able to aquire this setup.. Sub isn't blown ... its one 10" and a 10" passive radiator (looks like a speaker but its not). Whoop whoop, and I scooped the little 400 watt amp that goes with it.. now on the hunt for a head unit through cructchfield and wiring.. maybe i will change out the the rest of the speakers and do 6.5 kickers or something. So far we are coming along nicely.

Reason: Needed to add pictures
Finally, the car drove around the block and is almost complete.
It's been at my buddy's shop for a month now getting ac lines and a custom intake tube and catch can fabbed up. Will do a quick street tune before it leaves.
@bmccann101 Looks good!! Bring it to Weakest once it's all done.
Going to be trying to plumb the airlines and strap this in here with velcro. Sits somewhat snug. I posted several pictures on my build, and needing some inputs if anyone has time to read and answer them.
Thank you
Not sure what the bracket is called, but had to tweak the underside V-brace that goes from under the drive shaft to the front of both rear wheels. Installed a Revel Medallion cutback recently and it was rubbing on the brace. Not the exhausts fault, it actually went in very clean; highly recommended. Issue was a previous owner must have run over something and the brace was bent up. Under certain conditions, exhaust would touch the brace and cause a rattle.
Also installed a serpentine belt kit. Belt tensioner pulley was making noise so it made sense to just replace everything.
Would have also liked to install Z1 Motorsport spacers. Due to a poor design choice (IMO), holding off on the install. Rather than try and work with me, they just wanted me to spend more money. Very poor customer experience on such low dollar items. So, Z1 lost me on any future business. Not going to risk dealing with them on bigger ticket items.
I have been doing some thinking... instead of going crazy on wanting a Big Brake Kit I should do preventive maintenance.. SOO a timing kit/ Water pump, valve cover gaskets, gallery gaskets, oil pan gasket or Upgraded oil pan. and new plugs. I think that rounds everything out. Hell the engine I put in has about 166,500 miles on it.. as far as I know none of that stuff has ever been done. Now would be a good time to get that handled..

Welcome to the club, I only buy OEM from them now.
They’re not getting another dime from me. So they’re losing on who knows how much cause they didn’t want to provide a $10 solution.
Sadly, when they are the best price for Nissan stuff I have to cave in I'm not paying more for the same part, that's just silly. Everything else I go elsewhere.

Had a couple similar experiences with them that went about the same. For that reason, I always try ordering from Concept Z first or The Z Store.
