Well, I have a 03' 350z base model, with 93,983 miles on it... I am trying to decide to sell it and get what i can for it and have that money for a down payment on a newer one or... keep it... i have done a few things to mine, wheels,exhaust,drop,shift kit,intake,wing, and a system... I cant decide if it would be smarter to get a newer model to keep modding or keep the already payed for 2003... kinda confused so just drop a line whatcha think...

^^^This. I would personally never payoff a car or get any loan for it. In my opinion, better to own a cheaper car than to be paying off a more expensive car. Good luck!

 

^+1 Put your money in the bank and save it. Then when you have enough CASH to buy another car, then decide what you want to do. Car payments are evil things my friend.

Also, your car is only 6 years old and hasn't even broken 100k yet. Keep the Z another 4-9 years. A car isn't older until it is at least 10 years and 100k.

 

When my 07 get older, instead of buying a new car I'll rebuild the engine/transmission into something stronger.

If you were looking at buying something like a 370z Nismo, then it would make sence as long as you have the money. Selling and buying another 350z might not make much sense considering how much you have modded, unless you suffer from mod-fever.

 

i would keep the '03 if it has not been giving you alot of the problems that the '03 models are notorious for. You already have money invested in aftermarket stuff. But, if it is giving you problems, i would sell for an 06+ and just give the new car all your current mods.

 

keep the paid off car as long as you are not having any problems with it and save your money.

my brother has had 3 280zx's and all of them still run fine .. all had close to, or over 200K miles and 20 years older than your '03

I'm curious to see if the 350z will outlast the older ones

I wish I had my 07 payed off .. can't wait for that day to come when I don't have to take that nice chunk out of my bank each month

 

Like others have mentioned, keep the '03 350z until you can save up enough money for a new car or at least give you that option. The last thing you would want is car payments all over again.

 

Seems like some decent mods? any track time on them/the car? how about you find a new found hobby and track the car and be happy you have mod/track money to do so and have some major fun with it.....
