Unhappy Please don't make me give it back!

Good News:

Picked up a Daytona Blue Enthusiast this morning and just got back from a spirited ride up in the hills. All I gotta say is DAMN. I wish I had more to base my opinion on, but I have been driving an SUV for 3 years. My friend drove it as well, (his pride and joy is his E36 M3) and he was very impressed, interior, exterior and performance. I think he may be a little more lenient on me in the future for deciding on the Z over the M3 (was previously thinkg about a used 99).

Bad News:
It isn't mine......... While looking around for a Mini to rent for my girlfriend, I found a local place that just got in 3 Z's for rent. Pretty pricey, but the one I picked up only had 118 miles on it when I picked it up. Too bad I can't keep it. I wasn't sure it was a good idea to feed my Z addiction this way, and now that I drove it, I am sure it was a bad idea, but not one that I could pass up. I missed out on the pre-order program, and I am still looking, and I am hopeful I will have one by the end of the year (Silverstone Track, of course)

One thing I did notice that I haven't seen brought up before is the dead pedal. there is a little opening at the top and my shoe kept slipping into it. It seemed lik it might be kind of small for someone with big feet (I am a size 11). Not a big deal, but just a little extra info for those waiting for any info at all.....

Well, it is a little less than 250 a day (just barely) but they only give you 100 miles a day, and I picked it up in SF (dropping it off in Palo Alto tomorrow). I put over 100 miels on it before I even got home, so I will be racking up some extra charges. The place is www.specialtyrentals.com They just got the cars in a couple days ago, and the car I got had only 118 miles on it when I picked it up. I think they ahve two, and I think the other one might be a performance model. They guy there said that the MSRP for the one I was driving was 32, but priced with the options it has, MSRP is 29.6, so I am thinking he got them mixed up.

I just checked, 184 for a weekday, 239 for a weekend. I got the weekday rate even though I picked it up on friday (because I asked, they may discount their rates if you call 24hrs in advance and teh car is not yet reserved).
