Heartbreak
x2... But only out of concern for your personal financial situation and the fact that unless you have the best of coverages and a higher income, you'll be facing a constant financial struggle which may make it impossible to ever overcome the paycheck to paycheck lifestyle.
That having been said, there is a colossal amount of ignorance in this thread. The op clearly didn't have many of the advantages (rightly/wrongly, obtained through merit or hand-me-downs) financially etc many of us enjoy and take for granted.
He has definitely made some mistakes, but he is not the epitome of economic evil which some of you have immediately proclaimed... and he is taking steps to better himself in the right direction.
How fast some of you are to blame the individual when this recession was entirely predictable yet he was obviously approved for a sizable loan with no assets working 2 jobs... you cannot strictly blame the individual for *wanting* what society depicts as desirable. You can however points fingers at those with far more fiscal sense who give them such knowing they truely cannot afford it and with an economic thunderstorm ahead... comon now.
At any rate, chances are none of you have experienced a similar situation and thus should really refrain judgment beyond sound advice.
GL op. You are moving forward and certainly addressing the real priorities in life. Don't be blinded by love though.

Deeply appreciate the kind words in my defence. In honesty, how could i say that without me putting my fault on someone else. Part of me wants to blame the bank and stealership. What stable mind funds a loan thats 1/3 larger than the value of the loans collateral, and to a 20 year old non the less. Another part of me wants to blame my parents for not steping in with sound advise, and trying to help me realise what kind of risk i was taking with my future.
All of me realises that this is my mistake and im the only real blame. I was 20 wich in any case is an age that is fully responsible for my actions, and there for I should/will be held accountable for the result.
Sorry to hear, glad theres hard working 18 year olds out there working for their cars, not getting their parents to buy things for them. Just have to say one more thing, why in hell did you get married at such young age? Whatever happend to people waiting until financialy stable until committing to such an adventure?
I love my wife and daughter very much and in all honesty i dont believe you should let anything get in the way of how you feel for someone.
Or you could just say i did it for the dependent tax right off. haha I keed I keed
ON a positive note ive applied for 2 jobs that pay more than im making now.
Both seem to be looking for a resume with my credentials.
keeping my fingers crossed
Geez... I rarely say this, but you sound like a real decent person who just made a couple of bad decisions. Good luck to you , I hope everything works out ok.
If you really love the wife/kid, the Buick shouldn't be so bad. You'll get another chance at a car you really want. Just don't get raped on that one, do your homework!!
Keep us up to date w/your employment situation along w/the kid. I'm interested...

I figure id rather spend my time looking for a solution than the cause at this point. I do appreciate the comment and for the sake of many kids i really hope that the shots have nothing to do with this.
i appreciate the advise but you cant just turn your back on a kid when times get tough. That could (and most likely will) result in more damage than debt could ever create. I know raising a kid on low income can be a huge problem in itself but i believe teaching children good morals has a value that no amount of money could even compensate for.

The original inspiration for our decision to marry is a very contraversial topic in american society at the moment.
