Question So is the A/C any good?

Does it do the job or is it as incompetent as the T32's.

No complaints here. I haven't had a 90+ day yet though.

Cool Is the A/C any good?

I drove a Dealers car last week, and while it wasn't a real hot day, only about 106 degrees, I can say that the A/C was more effective than in my Cobra. Both cars are Black Touring models.

Not to worry!

Sorry, only the Z was a Touring model.

A/C has been working flawless over here at Houston's heat... It has been 98deg from my car outside temp reading and I only have to turn the a/c to mid to keep it cool... I set the temp to 60deg though on the thermostat. No Problem at all..

Today I drove up to Pleasanton and the trip computer said the outside temp was 101 degrees. I had the inside temp set to just under 75, and it was super-cool inside without even having the fan blasting. It felt like there was lots more capacity if it heated up more outside. This was the first time I was able to prove to myself that the A/C is more than adequate. And the vents are easy to move so you can cool the interior without having the freezing air blast you in the face.

Thanks guys. That's good news. It's been in the high 90's and low 100's up here in NorCal. I like warm weather but there are limits.

The AC is great, in my opinion, but I should clarify. I've left the switches to the "Auto" setting (meaning automatic, not car), and until it gets down to the temperature you set, it goes full-blast. So far, it's great. Once the car is at the desired temp, maintaining the cool is easy and quiet.
Yeah, the Auto fan setting is pretty obnoxious: it uses full-blast way too much, and full-blast is LOUD. After a while I end up turning it to manual and a more reasonable setting; it still seems to be able to keep my set temp. The auto setting seems overly aggressive, but I guess it wants to really gurantee your set temp and get to it ASAP so I guess I can't blame it for trying so hard!

The nice thing is that there are so many fan speeds to choose from -- not just 3-5 like in other cars (or maybe that was just in the old days)

Live in arizona, it's hot here. I have had no problem with the a/or being cool in the car. Well it is a little weak with all vents open when I have a passanger. Most of the time I'm by myself so I close the passanger side vents. works great.

Default Drove to Vegas, AC ROCKS!!

Drove to Vegas on Saturday in the midday sun. Had the gauge set to the temperature display. At Baker (world's largest thermometer) it was 110 at 12:30pm, which was accurate since that's what the thermometer was at too. AC was on 60 at low fan, and it was nice and cool inside the car. Cruising at 90+ MPH, AC was on, and the temp gauge didn't even register close to halfway. Tire psi went from the normal 37 to 41, so the road was nice and toasty. That trip computer is so fun to play with!

Vegas was 98-109. It took about 2 minutes to cool the car to comfortable levels after leaving it parked in the sun.

I loved this car when I got it last week. I love it even more now, if that is possible.

This is the forth car (Audi, Ford, Honda, were others) I own with Auto temp. control. They all act the same way: Full-blast when the interior ambient and set temp. is significantly different. Once it is getting close, then it start to slow down. I ended up using the manual fan control to set the fan speed to suit my ears.

My AC works fine in Texas summer. The Chrome Silver and Frost interior also help.
