Would it be wiser to go FI, or NA, if you wanted a Drift/Track car?

Question Would it be wiser to go FI, or NA, if you wanted a Drift/Track car?

if you planned on drifting/auto-x'ing your z would you go FI or NA, and for what reasons? I'm assuming the FI route would cause a lot more problems drifting/auto-x'ing, then it would if you were drag racing your car...but then again, if you don't go turbo/supercharger, how much power can really be extracted out of the Z w/ bolt ons and NA mods?

Stay NA. Read current Road and Track (NOV: Zounds). Motorex wins.

If you stay N/A, you are probably looking at less than +50 rwhp with mods.

If you go F/I, you are going to be around 100+ rwhp extra.

Either would work for AutoX or drift, it just depends on what you are competing in (do you even want to compete, or do you want to have fun) and what else you do with your car.

If you want to compete, you will need to mod your car according to the rules of the class you want to be in. Pretty much any car with any level of mods will fit in some class, but if you start modding and get bumped to a tough class, you will probably need to mod to the limit of that class to remain competitive. You just don't want to run out of money half way through.

i've never seen the tein car in action, only a couple pics from sema....i have a few vids of the rsr 350z...i wonder what mods it has....but do you think they're n/a because those tuners didn't have any FI options when they built the cars?
