Base 350Z worth it?
The 350Z is a 350Z, base or track, etc. It just depends on what you want to do with it.
I felt that buying a base, I can use the money I save on upgrades. Like wheels, exhaust, stereo, etc.
So it's up to you.

Get the Enthusiast Z. Trust me . . . the best choice I ever made. I was in the market for RSX-S before considering the Z. Price difference made the difference for me. So my brother just got the G35c and after test driving it, then test driving the RSX-S, it was clear to me. The RSX didn't feel like it was quicker or handled better than my CRX so I decided to spend the extra and get the Z. The base just lacks too many things that I would want over the base.
in all honesty, i owned an RSX Type-S before the Z. and truthfully you cant compare the two. they are two totally different cars. i traded my RSX with 8K invested into the motor because the 350z was just plain easier to drive. the RSX is a car that is very driver dependent. the Z... well lets just say, its like driving my dads benz. very easy and very nice.
i love both cars. but since the Z is my daily driver and the Supra not i wanted something that was easy on me, and with looks that needed no modifications. the Z had all those.
Still i miss VTEC, but nothing can compare to the pleasure i get when i drive by all the kids in school and the pleasure i get when i dont have to worry about long trips.
