Default Alpine 7894 head unit with time alignment

Normally I'd post this in Modifications, but it's important enough given everyone's dissatisfaction with the BLOSE to post here.

The Alpine 7894 head unit is an amazing deal for $300, and will guarantee you infinitely better sound. Here's a newly-posted review of the excellent time alignment feature, which fixes the one key problem with car audio - imaging:

Nice, glad you like it Jay. Yeah, I'm getting either that or the Alpine 7995 (blue one). I think the 7894 will match the interior much better, since it has selectable amber lighting.

Anyone found an install kit that will fit it though?
I'm hoping to get one with a storage bin underneath, like so:

I contacted BestKits.com to see if they have one in the works, and they said no.

I'm seriously considering ther 7995 as well Nizl. I really like the display even though it isn't amber. The options and quality is a plus as well.

How much is XM, and is it really worth it?

XM Runs $9.95 a month....and i think it's absolutely worth it...especially if you have a quality sound system. The audio quality of XM is stunning.....basically CD quality...the only time i can tell the difference is really low bass isn't as defined as Redbook audio (CD)...but it's leaps and bounds ahead of FM. Great stations too... I've been very happy with it...and i'm missing it since i pulled all my audio equipment out of my current car to prepare for my Z's arrival.
