Guys Im sooo upset, I take care of my car like its my baby, and I go upstairs to spend the night at my grandparents apartment complex and the next morning rear fender and bumper scraped and dented hard and my wheels got a chunk scraped too. I filed a police report but I dont know if my insurance will even fix it without my rate going through the roof.
People that do stuff like that need their licenses revoked

that sucks bro....I KNOW ThE FEElIng! had the car a week fresh paint....some one backed into my parked Z and fled..I filed police report just like you did and made an insurance claim....being that you were parked and not in the vehicle your insurance should not go up because you were not at fault....the crappy part is you have to cover the deductable....in my case they checked out my damage and came with.a dollar amount in total loss and then subtracted my 500 dollar deductable and gave me a check for the repair.....hope this helped and good luck with repairs

 

yea its so sad man, they know if they hit a nicer car and not some beat up whip that theyre gonna have to pay through the nose so they just flee, hitting any car is bad though and fleeing is worse! The worst part is my rims were brand new and now Im gonna have to pay to get one replaced. I feel so cheated because you shouldnt have to pay to get your car back to the way it looked before some else got careless you know? I think the apartment complex has some pretty high tech cameras I hope theyre pointed in my cars direction lol cuz it was in the middle of the lot! Its such a bad feeling knowing all my budget for performance mods is gonna get affected cuz of this, guess the final drive will have to wait til christmas. Ill put pics up tomorrow when its sunny out.

 

Go after the apartment complex!! They had cameras which means they had a security system.....

 

They have signs that say "Video Surveillance in use" does that imply a security system lol? stupid question just trying to make sure.

 

damn that sucks. I would be very pissed. Go around looking for cars with slight damage and match it up. Put up some pics.

 

I did a little Im going to do some more though, the police officer did as well lol. The car that hit me must have had some moderate damage cause they kept going after they hit my bumper so much so that they got into the wheel :/

Call your insurance. If you have full coverage than you should be covered under comprehensive coverage.

For a hit and run you should deff. be covered. Someone keyed my whole drivers side and I was covered under comprehensive. Soo hopefully it works for you.
