You may be on to something. And quite frankly, for his sake, I hope so. I never pick on ESLs, but he has said many times that it is just typos.

If I was a betting man I would say he is just mentally retarded. If he admits to either or both, I will back off.

Here is the list of cars & bikes I have owned

Cars:
-1988 Toyota Corolla (w/ carbs!)
-1993 Honda Prelude Si
-1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GST
-1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo
-1997 Nissan Altima GXE
-1999 Mazda Miata (currently own)
-2003 Nissan 350z Enthusiast (currently own)

Bikes:
-2004 Suzuki GS500
-2002 Suzuki SV650S

Since this thread seems to be about teaching financial responsibility to teenagers, I'll add this: I have had a job since I was 12. I did yard work from age 12-15 at which point I was old enough to get a regular job. I worked a job while in college and paid for all of my own college expenses. I have not been without a job for more than a week since the age of 15 and I am now 27 years old. I bought every one of these cars w/ cash and I have owned my home and land since I was 21. My parents taught me if I wanted something I had to earn the money for it, no hand-outs!

For the hell of it... I'm sick of kids that get sports cars handed to them. I had to find out the hard way that payments and insurance at a young age are hard as hell to take care of... yet these 18 year old kids are coming in saying they make $60000 right out of high school, have their own insurance policies and apartments, and still have money to party on the weekends. Quite obvious they're being spoonfed by their parents.

Yet people wonder why today's youth has such financial problems.

Who the hell is saying they are making $60000 out of high school, Spork?

Exaggeration.

It seems these kids even have "sweet hook ups" that allow full insurance coverage to be easily affordable for their fully independent, 1-year-old ***. While they are easily paying all these bills, they come here to complain about part prices or ask about whether a certain eBay product is good or not.

i get banned cause most of the people in this forum are old!!! and just can't accept that a 19 year old pay for his car, college, insurance. I don't have a house, but i do pay for half the rent on my apartment... i started saving money since 16, now i i'm a full time student, and work full time. I dont make 60000k but i do get a decent salary. Yes i work with my dad i still work 40 hrs tho.

About insurance i pay almost 4k every 6 months.... i have full coverage.

I mention the Real estate part cause Hraesvelg was talking about "is not what u drive is where u park it" so i have to say i look at the pics its a nice house but its nothing like wow... and for the house in MD it might be nicer but it's not yours... paying rent is throwing your money away.... instead of buying a modest nice comfortable apartment that you can say it's yours...

Wat?

You're saying an apartment is "yours" and is > renting?

$4k every 6 months. You're clueless. Did you ever post videos or pictures of your badass ride?

Age isn't everything here. Maturity and responsibility is.
I'm not old.

I still own the house in SC.
The house in MD is TINY compared to the SC house.

I see you're talking about where I live but you haven't said anything about yourself. Where do YOU live? Post pics up now.

I agree with the rent thing. I can't get another house until I sell my current one. As soon as it sells I'll be buying again.

Don't lecture me on houses. You probably live with your mom and are car poor.

So you downplay my house... which I own... and you have an apartment... which you can't pay more than half on...

Why again are you posting?

Then again I highly doubt most of what you say.

Lol @ this thread.
Teenage kids trying to prove to people on the internet who they don't even know that he is grown up now and paying for everything, and old geezers who have nothing better to do but to compare with a barely legal age kid about how he pays for his own car and house.

You guys seriously have too much leisure time.
