This pertains to the "17 year olds getting Z's" debate...
I assume you max your 401k each year ($16,500) and buy the max IRA ($5,000)?
A degree (or in some people's cases, degrees) is not a feel-good piece of paper. It is proof of a specialty, and most Fortune 500 companies require one to be on their payroll (i.e. not paid via PayPal).
Mikey, none of the products you "sell" go for anywhere near $10,000. They are glorified laser pointers that YOU try to convince people will cure all of their ails. I own a direct mail production company and have mailed millions of pieces for clients for crap like this over the years. the PayPal thing totally gave you away.
To the Other Posters - THIS is why we have fun with morons like this.

How do you define "plenty"?

but to answer your question...
"plenty" in my eyes is enough to pay the mortgage on the home I'm living in, pay my utilities, buy groceries, fund projects on my home, fund the modding on my car, insurance, etc...
I have 40% disability from the VA and that money is deposited in a high interest savings accoung...
I make the bare minimum on 401k contributions and my employer matches. does it count to 16.5k? nope...but I'm not worried about it. I do not have IRAs but I do invest elsewhere. I bought a duplex at my last duty station before I separated from the air force and have been collecting rent from tenants for over 2 years now.
Its risky but I invest in rental property...
but to each their own...
carry on...
yeah... I don't think so. Dude.. The ceiling just caved in on your story. Lesson learned... BE HONEST. Now you look like a typical 18 year old.
This isn't a pic of you on the car from your facebook... Looks like the beenan to me. Anyone else?

Believe what you want, there are no lies. It's sad that you guys can't handle someone being successful. I am pulling from this thread.
Once again it boils down to money doesn't even matter. I have been nothing but nice and provided every bit of evidence you want. I am not being the source of entertainment anymore.

before you start jumping to conclusions and trying make me feel inferior...

Your definition of plenty matches mine; you served in the AF like my late father did, and for that you have my immediate respect. He chose AF over college as well, and he lived a life that would make most any man jealous - but far from in a material way.
I would be more inclined to think it is a good thing to be young and be able to maintain a car like this. Even if you get help from your parents, it is still a high level of responsibility to drive and maintain a nice vehicle. I know Trix, and know that he probably works a lot harder than most of you at keeping his ride clean, and in good order.
You dummies are talking about depreciating assets.... First, ahhhh, you own the same car right? So what gives you the right to lecture someone else? Secondly, I am happy to sink some of my well earned money into a depreciating asset. I get great enjoyment out of it, and it is well worth the expense. Is there something wrong with that?
Once again, this just re-enforces what is wrong with this site. Look, I know your intentions are good, but that is not what this site is about. Go to some Fox business forum if you want to spew this BS to the world.

I could care less about Canucks car - it is his claims to riches that I find amusing. I haven't even responded to the more responsible youngsters here - I don't find their stories to have the BS quotient that his does.
No ****. You guys sound like complete fools. Get over it. I don't know what you think makes you so special. I was messing with cars at 16, and was more than happy to get a little help from my parents. I learned a lot about cars, graduated college, got a great job, and got to play around with something I am passionate about. I don't see the problem. I will also add that it worked out great, and I am a nice responsible adult. Something I am sure most of the "teenage" Z/G owners will be.

As I am one with two kids in college I 'll answer that for the kids - no, no, and no. I did suggest my oldest drop out of high school and make millions off the Internet though - since kids are always smarter than their parents, she said no.
Don't give up Perf, she will listen if you keep persisting. Maybe you can talk her into selling light sabers that yield 30k commission for each one she sells.
