So i just got my 20's and im looking into Hotchkis Sport lowering springs to clear up the gap a little...i showed my dad and he refuses to let me buy them.
why? reasons:
1. "i used to work on cars and these just make your wheels grind on the upper fender! Especially on speed bumps!" claims dad...

2. "if you bottom out, the dealership wont even go near your car!" more wise words.

so a drop thats less than an inch will make my wheels rub my fender and will cause me to bottom out? i think not.

my goal here is to get as much input as possible, either proving me wrong or proving my dad wrong. so post up!

ive read that with this short of a drop, a fender roll isnt even necessary...but if i really need it, around what would the cost be? im on the birthday card budget

It all depend on the offsets+tires setup. Post up wheels specs, tires, and your age.

 

theyre actually 12's. but its ok.

decided to go with the traditional red. it does the job.

but really...i need some input and whatnot on this situation. your posts determine if i get these

as for the offsets, im not 100% sure...but i think f +14 r+24

My dad would have laughed at me if I wanted a sports car when I was 17! I was lucky to have a beat up 93 Jeep.

 

With the hotchkis springs and the wheels and tires setup, you won't bottom out. Roll your rear fenders just to be safe. Post pics up when your done. I want to thank your dad for causing my insurance premium to go up next year.
