and if you would have actually read through the thread, you would know that i was on a tight budget and got brand new, brand name wheels and tires for $1200. vs paying 1600 for 19" off brand wheels and tires.
and as for college, i received multiple scholarships and have been accepted to the University of Hawaii at Manoa on a full ride.

but anyways, i just want help, thats all im asking for...so please?
If you bought your own car with your own money, then why does it matter what your dad thinks??

Sorry kid, but I think you were anticipating a "baller" site and instead got a good dose of "grown up" reality... but as long as dem rims be tight, bishes be flockin, right??

because he pays for insurance...lol. and im not anticipating a baller site whatsoever. in all honestly, im coming into this forum with a clean, aggressive, satisfactory look in mind. and its unfortunate that i couldnt afford to put 19" volks on my car...but i have to make use with what i have.

thats the very reason why im asking for help. so quit making inadequate assumptions based off information you have yet to acquire. "Bish"...

Namecalling, cute.

look, it's your car so do what you want. But don't expect a forum primarily made up of adults to think too highly of a 17 year old creating a "dubs" thread, with little to no knowledge on the subject, and saying, "please help me prove my daddy wrong!!"

BTW, for a quick peek into your future, check this cool thread out...

once again, im not going for a "baller" look...so throw your DUB references in the trash. and i have plenty of knowledge on the subject, as a matter of fact; the wheels will obviously fit with the drop with no problem. I just needed some further input on the subject to show my dad, to help convince him otherwise.
So im sorry that youre spending your evening trying to tell off a 17 year old kid. What an accomplishment...
And i paid for my car, and im an excellent driver with a clean record. so there you go again...making inadequate assumptions based off information you dont have.

Apology accepted.

And ya, all 17 year olds are excellent drivers with clean records, it's science...

Good luck with your project, and please drive safe.

I think the part that killed it was 'trying to convince my dad'. most of us around here make decisions on our own.

you seem rather intelligent for a 17 year old though so best of luck pal.

LOL...man you guys are rough! I remember when I was 17 I was trying to convince my parents to buy me a car, nevermind rims!

OP as someone mentioned earlier, you sound like a reasonable and smart kid...despite all the flaming you've received, you took it like a good sport and with a good sense of humor. I would advise though not to ever mention your age or adolescent situation ("have to convice my dad") in future posts. As you can see, the internet is based on both warranted and unwarranted assumptions, mostly the latter, and you will be stigmatized. Good luck though and I hope it all works out!

can vary between $40 and $75 per fender. Front fenders are already rolled.

Rolling the fenders is something I would recommend. Something everybody should just get out of the way regardless.

Hey mates... okay I if I butt in with a question... new to this site

OK so I will

Hi guys big problem from the land of OZ,
As a 350 owner from new (2004) I have just experienced a major problem recognised in the US but not in Aussie. Said vehicle recently boiled under the house having been run but left sitting. The Zed beeped wildly and was shut down spewing coolant. Fearing the worst it was left sit for a few hours (refreshed with good old Ethyl) and thank the lord turned over and ran. Roadside services came in the next day and identified (as expected) the main fan had failed. As it turns out both fans have. Zed is now sitting in the dealership with Nissan Australia in denial there could possibly be a warranty claim. As posted on this site it is clearly evident fellow Zed's have suffered the fan failure predicted by Nissan US. I have sent the link to the dealer and await response... I am not hopeful despite all 2004-07 came out of the same factory.
That both fans have failed, and this is supported by some Nissan techs, indicates the main failure has stressed the other. As said to me "you would not know if one had failed and the other (thermatic) was supporting it". That my AC was struggling (in hindsight) supports this theory.
ALL your support will be gratefully (in the form of evidence) received.

If you're living in daddy's house then it's daddy's rules.

Why not just accept that and work on your car when you grow up and move out? Either that, or buy a REAL baller car and not a sports car. The Z should have that money put towards FI, not big *** chrome wheels. Buy a Caddy or Lexus and paint your Frankenberry sh*t on that.

please don't buy lowering springs. no matter what you do your car will not rub the upper fendor wells. buy a set of coilovers and slam the fu*( out of it. if you hit a speed bump fast enough for your suspension to move then you probably don't care that much about your car in the first place. even with the lower springs 20's give you added ride hight so it will probably take you back around were it was before you put wheels on it.

second i had a set of eibach lowering spings and literaly not even kidding jumped the car absolutly did not even touch the ground and the only thing on these cars that hits the ground is the cat's and the rear M brace.

unless you have a 10 inch wide wheel with a negative offset your not even going to be close to flush and therefore not even going to come close the the fender.

thanks for the advice. if i could afford coilovers, id slam my shi* like mj. buttttttt i cant. so springs will have to do. and as for the flush look, i plan on getting spacers

btw, i see you mentioned cats are prone to hitting the ground?...my friend's planning on selling me HKS hi power exhaust and i was going to do a rear bumper roll. good idea? yes? no?

Maybe your dad just doesn't have the heart to tell you 20's will look dumb on a sports car..

But really.. you've stated that you know they will fit. If you can't convince him with your own facts and measurements.. we can't be of much more help.

I'm going to call it:
-Newer member with little to no posts.
-Just happens to be 17
-Putting 20s on his car
-Wants advice so he can prove daddy wrong.

I'm sorry but it seems more likely than not, but...
