start paying for your own insurance and they you wont have to worry about what daddy says.
Sell those 20's and buy the springs and spacers. Just roll on stocks until you can buy some decent rims.

sorry, these are the only pics i have at the moment. just had knee surgery so i cant get up and take more :/ but i think they look fine as far as 20s go. and handling/ride quality is the exact same as stock, if not more comfortable. but i guess ill just hold off on a drop till i can afford coils or something.

the fender wells are actually big enough to fit 22's, according to nissan, so i dont see the big deal. not that i wanna brotha up my car...
i mean could i get a little encouragement nonetheless? all i seem to be getting is negative comments.
i mean from a POV standpoint, looking into the wheel well, there seems to be plenty of room for a drop. Especially a measly 1/2 inch.
ive seen plenty of pictures of Z's with 20s and a drop, i just need confirmation and maybe some users' input that actually have 20's and a drop.
and pics will be up tomorrow

once again, im not going for a "baller" look...so throw your DUB references in the trash. and i have plenty of knowledge on the subject, as a matter of fact; the wheels will obviously fit with the drop with no problem. I just needed some further input on the subject to show my dad, to help convince him otherwise.
So im sorry that youre spending your evening trying to tell off a 17 year old kid. What an accomplishment...
so there you go again...making inadequate assumptions based off information you dont have.

Seriously though. If you can't (or don't want to?) pay for your own insurance I think you have bigger priorities than to be modding your car. While I understand those springs are a really mild drop that you might not run into suspension problems, are you going to be able to buy these if the need arrises?
Also, while these may not be the best examples, have you looked at how much tires in 20"s cost?
One set of good tires is basically the cost of what you picked up your rims for.
As one member already stated the least you could do is roll your fenders to try and prevent rubbing.
With such a mild drop bottoming out should not be a problem unless your really careless.
P.S. Go attend any track event and try calling yourself an "excellent" driver when 100hp Miatas consistently lap much better times than you. Saying you have excellent mannerisms and record on the road? Sure. An excellent driver? Not even close.
