Default Beware of fraudulent seller!

Bought a hks exhaust from LA13 and paid 250$ extra for test pipes and headers. Recieved the HKS and no test pipes or headers. I was gaurenteed over the phone from him they were in there. Took about 2 weeks of hassling to get the exhaust shipped to my house. Well his phone has been off for about 3 days now. Another member on here NissanZ03 sent this guy $815 for the same exhaust I bought. So just thought I would let the community know to beware beware of this seller.

And yes I know I spelled fraudulent wrong in the title. Was typing to fast.

No he didn't, but he did have other for sale adds up in the past. He even tried selling the exact same exhaust before. Here's some of his other adds hes had in the past. I know his home address, name, phone number, and that he's joining the marines apparently.

If you dealt with him via PM or on the thread, you can dispute it with Paypal as they now offer Buyer Protection from outside of eBay for tangible and physical goods.

If you buy something that never arrives, or if it arrives significantly
different than described, you're eligible for a full refund through
PayPal Purchase Protection.

You are eligible for PayPal Purchase Protection if:

* You used PayPal, an eBay invoice or clicked the "Pay Now" button
to purchase the item.
* You paid for the item with one payment (items purchased with
multiple payments are not eligible for Purchase Protection).
* The dispute is for tangible, physical goods that can be posted and
are not prohibited by PayPal. Payments for intangibles, services,
licenses and other digital content are not protected.
* You open a dispute in your PayPal account via the Resolution
Center within 45 days of the payment. You can work with the seller in
the Resolution Center to resolve the problem.

If you can’t resolve the problem with the seller, you can ask us to
investigate by escalating the dispute to a claim.

To learn more about PayPal Purchase Protection, click ‘Legal Agreements’
at the bottom of any PayPal page, and then click "PayPal User
Agreement."

You have his info. You're out $250, The other guy is out $815. Get together, contact the local PD. Get the complaint in writing. Get them to charge his ***. See how that goes over with the Marines.

You can see by the listing that the cat back exhaust is OFF the car. Headers and test pipes may be on the car.

https://my350z.com/forum/exhaust/504...r-exhaust.html

Listing is dated 10/29. Today is 11/25. Give LA13 some time to get the parts off the car and ship. A little patience is in order.

^thats close to a month already. Even if it took more time to get the tp and headers off some communication should be taking place...I would call paypall asap before time runs out.

"Patience"? It takes all of 45 seconds for this "LA13" to send an update. Even a "Sorry for the delay; heres the situation....."

If someones not gonna follow-thru with their sale, then they don't need to be posting in the first place.

THIS is why i drove to another members house 6 hours away to pick-up an exhaust. He was totally cool, but I can't stand the idea of sending hard-earned money and getting delayed/screwed (3si). If he paid for a product and didn't receive it OR an explination, "Patience" seriously shouldn't be given or expected.

If you paid via paypal, file a claim before the 45 day period is up.

Got a text today updating me on what was going on. He said he had been arrested and apologized for the lack of communication. And also the headers and test pipes were shipped to the wrong person. Was told he was in the process of getting them returned to get them shipped to me. It also turns out he had 2 exhaust and is shipping the other one. Thanks for your comments and concerns guys.

Hmm, i would still dispute with Paypal anyway just in case and close the case once everything is in my hands, but that's just me being super careful. You have to know that once the 45 day period from the initial payment date is over, you cannot dispute it no matter what. So if "somehow" the test pipes and headers do not get returned to within 45 days and both of you are out of the test pipes and headers, no one is going to reimburse it.

So if i were you i'd still dispute with Paypal and give the seller a friendly reminder that you are doing so, and that you will close the case once the items are received.
