SHIFT_commercial
Around 9pm EST on NBC they showed what looked like a brand new nissan commerical on the company as a whole. SHIFT_tons of different words. they showed clips from around the world, and Nissan meets. they also showed the Murano, Xterra, and 350Z. Great commercial. I want a Z NOW!

They better SHIFT_This ad campaign to the trash can cause it's the stupidest ad campaign i've seen for any car. I can imagine a lot of people seeing these commercials and just scratching their heads thinking what the hell was that?

there showing people that manual is the way to go, and that sports car deserve to be manual.

I just saw one that was black and white pictures of cops in all regalia on the road like speed traps - then a still of a speeding (going fast) Z - then the words "be careful out there" followed by shift_the future.

I think what Nissan needs to do now is build an image, of being a people's car company, who listens to its owners unlike others (ahem, BMW). Who has a rich past, and who over builds its cars to make them fun. The SHIFT campaign is doing that to a degree. Its no longer just here and there ads for different cars and talking about the price. It makes Nissan as a whole "cool" instead of "i think the Xterra's cool" Also, gives public look at future with the Murano.

IMO the Xterra is far from kewl.
But your absolutely right. Nissan needs to change there image. Show the world that Nissan has a rich history (240Z) and that it isnt just a cheap Japanese car company. I think the Upscale Next Maxima will help the image, and the Z will bring back nostalgia.
and a Hard top 0-60 under 6sec 350Z convertible in my garage will help me change my impression of the company.
