more looks like someone whos been a member for 6 years and has nothing better to do than troll lol seems to me that people enjoyed talking and debating about MPGs, enjoy your trolling though.

Oh, and it is quite easy for one to type as if they are sophisticated and intellectual to make one feel inferior in a condescendent way, but in reality their "intellectual" ramblings seem to be nothing more then a far stretch at an ego boost and self-assertion to make oneself feel better because in their own lives they are nothing more then a push-over who cannot assert themselves in anyway when confronted face to face. The "troll" behind the internet screen is really nothing more then a weak personality small human being who's ramblings to find power and control are nothing more then well, ramblings, and anyone can the exact same thing. (As just shown)

But anyways, this is the last I will say to you. You are the only person in this thread that didn't really join into the conversation and came in here just to be trouble, and I believe I speak for everyone when I say we would like you to leave this thread, and find better things to do on the internet then to troll. Thank you.

I drive my 2008 Touring W/6 speed daily between Dubai and Abu Dhabi (about 125 miles round trip) with cruise control set at 85 and average 25 miles per gallon. I thought that was pretty good but you guys getting 30+ is impressive.

man 26 MPGs is pretty good for 85 mph haha My buddy set his cruise at 100 and reset his MPG computer and it read 26.2, but again we all know how innaccurate those can be.

I get over 30mpg on the interstate cruising. Best I've seen on on the display was 35.8mpg at 79av. mph. Now, it eventually settled down around 32ish after some hills and such...but doing a hard calculation, I make a trip from Dayton, OH to the Nashville, TN area fairly regularly (about 315 miles home). With a full tank I make it there with a quarter tank still left...so I figure I'm using 9.75-10 gallons which ends up being around 33ish mpg...

Your in Dayton man? Me too! I drive from here to Chattanooga all the time because thats where I go to school. Any Z meets happen around here much?

If you have a quarter tank left though doesn't mean you used around 15 gallons? Z's have a 20 gallon tank.

I drove 65 in 6th down I-70 and the most I ever hit was 30 MPG. But I'm also not sure how accurate that digital readout really is.

people need to realize that diff weather climates, and temps, altitudes, besides road conditions and or traffic and red lights will always contribute to the mpg a vehicle will get. If this guys car is better or worse than the mpg that your car is getting is it really that much of an issue? To me that is a lil to **** of a problem to worry about. To top it off how would any of us really know on the forum what is happening to get better or worse mpg? Why not call Nissan Direct and ask them?

to top it off , how do yo compare 2 diff engines? if you said it were a 350 vs another 350 then i can see some kind of an issue....other then that use your mpg to get laid!

That's good for an HR-equipped Z.

If you are using 3/4 of a tank, that's 15 gallons, not 9.75-10. Best way would be to fill completely before you leave, then fill completely again upon your return.

In my experience, they are pretty accurate over an entire tank of gas. The DTE is not accurate, but the calculated mpg is pretty accurate over 20 gallons. I've confirmed multiple times over a complete tank.

That's what I was saying as well - you can't compare the DE to the HR. I don't have any data on the DE rev-ups.

Yeah man I'm stationed here, but from Lebanon, TN originally...it's about an hour or so from Chatt. Yeah I've never really ran mine super low on the tank, but at most I'm ever able to put in is around 13-14 gallons, but then again I don't drive for long once I hit that last 1/4 tank before filling up.

Haven't been to any Z specific meets, but there's some other meets that seem to happen around here and down around Cinci. Shoot me a PM

I found out that my MPG increased by about 1.5 mpg from driving in winter to driving in the summer. Cooler air = more HP = decreases MPG.

I thought it was because i used another brand of gasoline but later found out that had no effect on MPG.

Just got my 2006 350z this week and I drive on the highway for about 15mins to work everyday. The highest the mpg has ever gotten for me is 26.0 it's usually right about 25.6 tho. I really don't know how accurate that reading on the car is though.

Huh? I get about 31 mpg while cruising on the highway in 6th gear at highway speeds. This is the ONLY time it gets 30+, and in town it is about 18 mpg.

I think you have to have the 6MT with 18" wheels to maximize that 30 mpg though.

It should be easy to get good gas mileage in CA. Everything there is going downhill.
